Please contact us if you have questions or if you need some encouragement.

I remember growing up and hearing the expression, “Get a life,” often said to me or others I was hanging around. At first, those words stung – they carried an air of judgment and dismissal. But as time went on, I realized that perhaps there was some truth hidden within them. Realizing I needed to get right with God was the first step in my story of redemption and God’s grace. You see, back then, my life seemed empty and meaningless; it revolved around destructive habits and self-destructive behaviors. Those words bounced off me as quickly as I heard them because I didn’t believe there was any other way for me to live.

However, something incredible happened when I found God in my life (or should I say, He was always there for me, but I finally responded to His love and grace). It felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders – a burden too heavy for me to carry alone. Suddenly, everything changed. My perspective shifted from darkness to light; hope replaced despair. When God comes into your life through Jesus Christ’s unwavering love and sacrifice, everything transforms. All your problems do not magically disappear – let’s be real about that – but you gain an advocate (The Holy Spirit) who can help you navigate through every stormy sea with strength and resilience beyond your understanding. It is in surrendering the life you are living now that you open yourself up to extraordinary possibilities. So if you are struggling with the emptiness of existence or feeling trapped in unhealthy patterns: take heart! Let these words echo deep within your being: “Get a life.” You, too, can get a life worth living once you surrender the life you are living now and start to follow Jesus. ~ Bill Greguska

John 3:3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”

How Do I Get A Life And Live It Live For God?

God wants us to get a life. Through His Word, he has revealed to us His Word how we are to live for Him. He commands us to love one another and to follow Him to the point of denying our desires. He calls us to care for the poor and needy and warns us not to fall into sinful behaviors like others who don’t know God. Jesus summed up a life lived for God when a teacher of the law asked Him the most important of commandments. Jesus replied, “Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these” Mark 12:29-31. Those who wish to live for God must seek Him in His Word. We must seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit to apply the Word to our lives. Living for God means giving up ourselves and desiring God’s will. As we draw nearer to God and come to know Him more, His desires will naturally become ours. As we mature, our desire to obey God’s commands increases as our love for Him grows. As Jesus said, “If you love me, you will obey what I command” John 14:15.

Get A Life By Trusting God ~ Not Yourself!

Become a New Person!

(This section is from The Book I wrote)

Lord, thank you for saving me from myself and making me brand new. You died for my sins – sins that I could not pay for myself. Being born again, I can now find my joy in knowing you and living my life for you. You made it possible for me to have a new life because of your sacrifice on the cross.

Lord, I know that when I became born again, I did not immediately stop living the way I used to live. I still have some character flaws, but through regeneration, my attitude has changed 180 degrees. I do not live any longer for the old me – I am a new creation in you, Christ! I know I will still sin at times, but now I have you as my advocate. You forgive me and have redeemed me.

What is most exciting about this new life is being able to share the good news with others. You have allowed me to do it for twelve years by sharing thousands of cards of encouragement. If I knew the cure for cancer, Lord, I would be compelled to share it. Since you have shown me the way to become a new person, it would be sinful for me not to share that. Thank you for this opportunity, Lord.

When God helped me quit using drugs and alcohol, that was a big step that got me to my knees to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. ~ Bill Greguska, founder of NeedEncouragement.com and the author of this book.
