How to Relax? Please contact us if you have any questions or comments or would like some encouragement.

When learning how to relax, if not we are bound to get over-stressed, and I have found that when I am getting anxious or stressed, if I take a long deep breath and say a quick prayer, I almost inevitably find myself much more relaxed right away. I often take 5-10 minutes to lie down on my bed, take deep breaths and hold them. Take a little time to learn how to relax! Remember that exercise is a great way to relax, although there are many other good ways to learn how to relax. ~ Bill Greguska

Most People Really Don't Know How to Relax?

There are many good ways to relax; find the best way for yourself! Include God in all your ideas!

Are there times you need to learn how to relax and put away your stress? We need to calm down to deal with the demands of each day. Did you ever actually know how to relax as you need to? I love what it says in Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. “When I keep this thought in my mind, it is easier to learn how to relax and trust that God has everything under control. Physically I have learned to relax by regularly exercising and lying down when overly tired or stressed out.

The best way to relax is to walk closely with the Lord daily. He will guide your steps, lead you the way you need to go, trust God, and keep your eyes on Him. That is the best way to suggest you learn to relax by putting your hope in God! The next time you get angry, try to stop and think if whatever is getting you upset is worth it. you get angry; halting those thoughts helps me relax and regroup myself! ~ Bill Greguska

Does Forgiveness Help A Person Relax?

Practice forgiveness for others, and be sure you forgive yourself. Being unable to forgive compels you to feel discontented and hold old grudges. Worse still, your health will be affected by long-lived unresolved issues. Your blood pressure, heart rate, and physical and spiritual health are bound to take a negative toll on your life physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Learn to let go, let God be in charge, and relax! It is hard to live a calm life when you continuously fear or have hate in your heart. Forgiveness encourages a sense of calm because you no longer spend so much of your life holding on to resentment towards others. God created us and knew what we would face in life; that is why he not only taught us but commanded us to forgive and love one another.

Take A Deep Breath And Ask God To Help You Relax!

Next time someone angers or frustrates you, take a deep breath and hold it for 3-5 seconds while you ask God to give you the strength and wisdom to overcome whatever is upsetting to you.  As you do this, you will indeed feel physically, emotionally, and spiritually better for doing so. This will help you learn how to relax. You can try it right now to understand what I am saying. (if need be, repeat the deep breath 2 or 3 times or more when you need to be calm.) Be patient. Patience is the key to peace. Impatience is the source of agitation irritation. Eagerness says, “I want it now,” When that does not happen, you are tempted to lose your temper and let your blood pressure rise.
