Additional EncouragementReach for the stars.

There are many ways to find encouragement, just as long as the motivation you seek comes from God. It is not harmful to seek help from a close friend, family member, pastor, or counselor since they can point you to God’s word, which is what we ultimately need. Over the years, I have learned to take my concerns to God in prayer first (I used to go to friends and church people for their help, but I learned God is where to take our concerns first and foremost). Then if we need more help or encouragement, we can take our frustration to others after taking it to God first. When I was a newer believer in Jesus Christ, praying out loud in front of others was a little awkward, but I later learned that my favorite way to pray is being all alone and asking God, “What do you want me to do?” I love that question, and then I sit back and think of God’s word and let the Holy Spirit speak to me. Many people, including myself, in the past, overlook the importance of prayer.  ~ Bill Greguska
