God created us to be sexual creatures for His purpose, which has been distorted because of our fallen, sinful nature. Sexuality is about your sexual feelings, thoughts, attractions, and behaviors towards those of the other sex. God has created men and women to be attracted to one another for the ultimate purpose of having children.

God’s purpose for sex is beautiful, but sinful men and women have made it filthy and dishonorable to God, who created it in the first place. God has designed both man and woman to find a man or woman of the opposite sex physically, sexually, or emotionally attractive. All those things are a part of sexuality. Sexuality Within The Marriage “Only?”

 

 

God’s Way, Or Satan’s Way?

God intended sex to be a beautiful thing between one man and one woman to keep the world populated. Our sinful world has attempted to change what God meant for good. Here are a couple of definitions of how sex has gotten distorted and sinful.

 

The definition of debauchery = is extreme indulgence in bodily pleasures and especially sexual pleasures: behavior involving sex, drugs, alcohol, etc., that is often considered immoral.

The definition of lewd = is crude and offensive in a sexual way. “she began to gyrate to the music and sing a lewd song.”

The definition of lascivious = is being filled with or showing sexual desire: lewd, lustful, lascivious acts/thoughts.

 

The definition of sexuality according to  Merriam-webster.com/ the quality or state of being sexual:
a: the condition of having sex
b: sexual activity
c: expression of sexual receptivity or interest especially when excessive.

 

 

Is Living Together Before Marriage Acceptable?

Men or women who are sexually active outside marriage, living together or not, are practicing a biblically immoral lifestyle dishonoring God and destroying their spiritual health and future marital life.

Because of these Biblical imperatives, we expect unmarried couples to live apart and be sexually abstinent until marriage.

 

 

 

 

What About Same-Sex Relationships?

Though experiencing attraction to a person of one’s gender is not a sin, those who experience same-sex attraction are never free biblically to become sexually active with someone of the same sex. (Leviticus 18:22; Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-28); Rather, they must seek God’s help and the support of trusted friends within the church to remain sexually abstinent. They may or may not reach a point where they no longer feel attracted to members of their gender. Notwithstanding, God’s calling for them, as for all believers regardless of gender, interest, or singleness, is to be obedient to the moral standards of Scripture either in abstinence outside marriage or sexual union within heterosexual marriage. ~ Neighborhoodac.org

 

 

 

Some Specific Scriptures To Encourage You:

Hebrews 13:4 ESV 

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

Matthew 5:28 ESV 

But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 ESV 

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Leviticus 18:22 ESV 

You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.

1 Corinthians 6:18-19 ESV

Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.

Leviticus 20:13 ESV 

If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

1 Corinthians 7:2 ESV 

But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

Colossians 3:5 ESV 

Put to death, therefore, what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

Matthew 19:4-6 ESV 

He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

Genesis 1:27 ESV 

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God, he created him; male and female, he created them.

1 Timothy 1:10 ESV 

The sexually immoral men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine.
