Please get in touch with us if you have any questions or need some encouragement.

This page “Struggling With Sin” provides Christian-based encouragement and guidance for individuals dealing with temptation and sin. We emphasize that while sin is a continuous part of the human condition, believers can find hope, forgiveness, and victory through faith in Jesus Christ, prayer, God’s grace, and the “full armor of God.” We contrast the mindset of the ungodly with that of a saved believer—highlighting that true salvation leads to a genuine awareness of sin, humility, and repentance. Additionally, we offer practical support resources, including embedded videos, relevant Bible verses (such as Romans 6:23 and 1 John 1:9), links to related topics (such as addiction, habitual sin, and spiritual warfare), and options to connect to a free Christian counseling and addiction phone helpline. Are you struggling with sin in any specific area of your life? Remember, you are not alone. Sin has been a part of the human condition since the beginning. But take heart, for there is hope! Take your burden to the Lord in prayer and let His grace wash over you to cleanse the stains of your transgressions.

Romans 4:8 Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.

So, please make it your utmost priority to reach your destination in heaven by walking faithfully with Him daily.  Someone once said that the Bible serves as our compass to navigate life’s trials; allowing its teachings to guide us will shield us from falling into sinful traps or drifting away from God’s Word. Let the word “sin” remind you of our shared struggle and our potential for redemption and triumph when we seek refuge in God’s unwavering love and mercy. I recall someone years ago telling me that the Bible will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from the Bible. ~ Bill Greguska

Finding Freedom From Sin: Biblical Guidance for Believers!Struggling with sin? NeedEncouragement.com

Each of us has our own set of sins and problems in life. God’s word says that we ought to submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, and he will flee from us. Being trapped in sin is something we all have in common because of Adam and Eve’s original sin. Sin comes in many forms: anger, lust, greed, envy, hatred, stealing, murder, etc. Many are no longer trapped in sin and its consequences because of trust and faith in Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

What Does the Bible Say About Struggling With Sin and Temptation?

Why Am I Still Struggling With Sin as a Saved Believer?

A Better Understanding of Freedom From Sin… 1 John 1:5-9

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him, there is no darkness at all.

If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Pornography is a sin committed against one’s own body.

In our society, it has become more acceptable to be associated with sinful things than a few decades ago, when it was shameful to have anything to do with immoral things. If you are trying to do right in God’s eyes but still struggling with evil, there is hope for you! I applaud your desire to get right with God and pray that God will give you the strength.

Nowadays, many people want to do their own thing, disregarding God’s will. Instead, they ignore what they believe the Bible says. In today’s American society, “sin” has been replaced with “mistake or error,” or similar terms.

Lucifer, an angel of God, became discontent with his place. He wanted to be the supreme authority. He wanted to be God. Lucifer (the devil) then tempted Adam, the first human, not to trust God. The sin factor entered the human race through Adam, and people naturally became sinners. Adam’s sin of rebellion brought him spiritual death, which has been passed on to every person who has been born from him. Do you have a question? We are all sinners, not because we sin; instead, we sin because we are sinners. King David spoke about his fallen human nature in Psalm 51:5, “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.”

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
