Do you realize that our highest purpose in life is love? It’s a beautiful concept, isn’t it? Need love. I can’t help but be reminded of the wise words spoken by Aretha Franklin, who once said, “When God loves you, what can be better than that?” How true those words are! Love is not just an emotion; it’s a choice we make every day to give ourselves fully to God and others. Without this powerful force called love, not much would get accomplished in our lives and everything might lose its meaning. But here’s something many people don’t often realize – the greatest source of love comes from Jesus Christ himself.

Jesus willingly sacrificed his own life for our sins and triumphantly rose from the dead. He left behind his Holy Spirit to guide us on this earthly journey and prepare us for eternal bliss with him in heaven. So if you find yourself yearning for love – whether it be romantic affection or fulfillment through work, hobbies, or anything else – I encourage you to first turn towards God. Seek him out as your ultimate source of real love. Why? Because when we truly understand how deeply loved we are by God, all other forms of love begin to pale in comparison. Through him, we learn what real love looks like selflessness, compassion, and forgiveness – virtues that extend far beyond mere infatuation or fleeting desires. ~ Bill Greguska

Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

We All Need Love… What Is Love According To The Bible?

Honor God By Obeying God!

Love of God and the love of others!

When we love God and others, we fulfill God’s greatest command!

We all need love, but have you noticed that the word love is used too casually? Forgiveness is a decision of the will. God commands it, or else God will not forgive us. We must make a conscious choice to obey God and forgive. The other person (guilty of doing you wrong) may not desire forgiveness and may never change, but that doesn’t negate God’s desire that we possess a forgiving spirit Matthew 5:44.

Ideally, the other person at fault will seek reconciliation, but if not, the person who has been wronged can still decide to forgive. We all need love, and we also need to forgive. Be a peacemaker, not a troublemaker!

There have been times in my life when I have had to forgive someone just because God has commanded that in my life as a Christian.

My emotions might not have been willing, but my spirit was obedient to God’s word and forgave the person since I have been significantly forgiven.
