Every single one of us has committed many sins in our lives, and we must acknowledge them. The list of sins might seem long, but it doesn’t mean they are unforgivable. God’s grace is longer than any list of sins we could come up with! When we confess our sins to Him, He forgives us because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. It’s important to guard our hearts and minds against thoughts and feelings that lead us down a path of sin so we can continue to grow closer to God. Remember, even if there are consequences for our actions, God will always forgive us when we humble ourselves before Him. Don’t let your past mistakes hold you back from experiencing His love and forgiveness today – learn how to get right with God so you can live a life filled with hope and peace.

One of the best scriptures that proves God’s love for those caught up in sin.  1st Corinthians 6:9 -11.  Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.  And that is what some of you WERE. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. The word WERE is very important to grasp.  We all have struggled with sin regardless of what it is. But this is proof that ALL, not SOME can be changed because of CHRIST. and we can be cleansed of all the filth we lived in.  It pretty much covers all of us. God loves us enough to give us a way out and freedom in Christ.  Praise God. If someone says to you that they have not sinned, they are calling God a liar. (1 John 1:9-10) When I sin from time to time, I confess my sins to God as quickly as possible. He will always forgive me, yet there are times when consequences for my sin will take place; that goes for you, too, when you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It does not permit us to sin, but God forgives us when we sin and humbly confess our sins. You can learn about how you can get right with God and not have to worry about your eternity, you can know for sure. ~ Bill Greguska

James 2:10 Whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Seven Deadly Sins!

  1. Lust
  2. Gluttony
  3. Greed
  4. Sloth
  5. Wrath
  6. Envy
  7. Pride.

1. Lust

Lust is a strong passion or longing, especially for sexual desires.

The Bible speaks about lust in 2 Timothy 2:22, “Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love [and] peace…”

The Bible also mentions lust in the following verses: Job 31:1, Matthew 5:28, Philippians 4:8, James 1:14-15, 1 Peter 2:11, and 1 John 2:16.

Chastity or self-control cures lust by controlling passion and leveraging that energy for the good of others.

2. Gluttony

Gluttony is excessive and ongoing eating of food or drink.

1 Corinthians 10:31 says, “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the gory of God.”

Additional Bible references include: Psalm 78:17-19, Philippians 3:19-20, Proverbs 23:1-3, Proverbs 23:19-21 and 1 Corinthians 3:16-17.

Temperance cures gluttony by implanting the desire to be healthy, making one fit to serve others.

3. Greed

Greed is an excessive pursuit of material goods.

The Bible says in Hebrews 13:5, “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’”

Other biblical texts which mention greed include Exodus 20:17, Proverbs 11:24, Proverbs 28:25, Ecclesiastes 5:10, Philippians 4:6, and 1 Timothy 6:9-10.

Charity cures greed by putting the desire to help others above storing treasure for oneself.

4. Sloth

Sloth is excessive laziness or the failure to act and utilize one’s talents.

Solomon spoke of sloth in Proverbs 6:6, which says, “Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise.”

The Bible also mentions sloth in the following verses: Proverbs 13:4, Proverbs 24:33-34, Romans 12:11-13, Colossians 3:23, and 2 Thessalonians 3:10.

Diligence or zeal cures slothfulness by placing the interest of others above a life of ease and relaxation.

5. Wrath

Wrath is intense anger and hatred towards another person.

The Bible speaks about wrath in Romans 12:19, “Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.’”

Additional Bible verses include Psalm 37:8, Proverbs 14:29, Proverbs 15:1, Ephesians 4:26-27, Colossians 3:8, and James 1:19-20.

Patience cures wrath by first understanding the needs and desires of others before acting or speaking.

6. Envy

Envy is the intense desire to have an item that someone else possesses.

The Bible says in Proverbs 14:30, “A sound heart is life to the body, But envy is rottenness to the bones.”

Other biblical texts which mention envy include Job 5:2, Psalm 37:1, Proverbs 24:19-20, Ecclesiastes 4:4, Galatians 5:26, and James 3:14-16.

Kindness cures envy by placing the desire to help others above the need to supersede them.

7. Pride

Pride is an excessive view of one’s self without regard for others.

The Bible says the following in Jeremiah 9:23-24 “…let not the mighty man boast of his might, but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me…”

Pride is also mentioned in the following verses: Proverbs 8:13, Proverbs 16:18, Romans 12:16, 1 Corinthians 13:4, Galatians 6:3, and James 4:6-7.

Is The List Of Sins In Your Life Like Falling Plates?

The Good News Despite The List of Sins Below!

The good news is that God has given us His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. We have been given the Holy Spirit to be with us and help guide us away from these sins.  Learn about all the different types of sins that you might not have been aware of.

But remember, the Pharisees had a list of 600+ sins in Jesus’ day, and Jesus summed up the Ten Commandments into TWO that covered them all, which are found in Matthew 22:37-40  (NIV). Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Sin Can Fall Into One Of Two Categories:

  1. The sin of omission.  This is when we do not do what God commands us to do.
  2. The sin of commission.  This is when we do what God has commanded us not to do.

The Three Main Ways That People Sin:

We Sin Through…

  1. Our thoughts
  2. Our words
  3. And our deeds

The List Of Sins Below Are All Forgiven?

That is if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and accepted Jesus’s death on the cross as your payment for your sins. Because of the blood of Jesus, who died for all who believe in Him, your sins (any of the 667 sins listed below) are all forgiven and are as white as snow and as far as the East is from the West. That does not mean there are no natural consequences for our sins, but it does mean that they are forgiven! That does not mean that you can sin all you want to, but because of what Jesus did, we love the Lord and would not keep sinning without feeling convicted of our sins. It is simple for me to understand that Jesus paid the debt that we could not pay. I do not know why anyone would not want to follow Him and live their lives for Him. Jesus is my Lord and Savior. He has covered any of the sins I committed in the list below! The same applies to you if you are a born-again believer in Jesus!~ Bill Greguska

A Born Again Person…

Has Been Converted From The Old Sinful Nature To A Spirit Lead Nature!

They have received the indwelling of God’s Spirit and have become a changed person. And also, they have become a child of God. They still sin, but because they love God, they are sinless. (Matthew 18:3; Mark 16:16; John 3:3; Acts 2:38; Romans Chapters 6 and 8, Colossians 2:12; Hebrews 5:9, 1 John 5:8).

People these days are often so broken and darkened that when they try to read the Bible, all they feel is condemned because who can truly measure up?! Jesus’ Holiness was attractive to those who knew they had needs, but to the Pharisees, Scribes, and Sadducees, He was hated because His Holiness repelled them. After all, they thought they did not need Him! “If you can no longer read more of this list, tool to the bottom for some hope!”

People Have Made Lists Of Sins Before Jesus’ Time!

But He summed up the Ten Commandments into two – “Love the Lord your God…” However, NO ONE can measure up, and no one will! There is only Jesus who measured up, who always did the Father’s will, Who laid down His life, dying on the cross so that we might have life.

When we confess that we can’t measure up at all and come to Jesus, who did measure up ultimately, receiving Him as our Savior and Lord, then He gives us new life within, and makes us His children! And as we grow in our new relationship with Him, we begin to reflect more and more on His perspective, humility, the fruit of the Holy Spirit, less of our negative, more of His positive, less of our darkness and confusion, more of His Light, until the Day He takes us Home to Heaven whether by death or being caught up to meet Him!

Some Scriptures To Encourage You:

Mark 7:21-23 ESV

For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

2 Timothy 3:1-5 ESV

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

Galatians 5:19-21 ESV

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 ESV

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

1 John 3:4 ESV

Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.

Revelation 21:8 ESV

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

1 Timothy 1:8-11 ESV

Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.

Matthew 5:28 ESV

But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Romans 1:29-31 ESV

They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.

Galatians 5:21 ESV

Envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Romans 1:24-27 ESV

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Colossians 3:4-10 ESV

When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming. In these you too once walked, when you were living in them. But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.

James 4:17 ESV

So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 ESV

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
