Getting Real In A Very Superficial World!
Please contact us if you have questions or if you need some encouragement.
Life is a journey filled with ups and downs, but have you ever wondered what it’s all about? Well, I have come to some persuasive conclusions about God that I would love to share with you. One of the simple truths that I have discovered is that getting real with God means focusing on Him and not ourselves or others. It’s easy for our focus to become obscure when we allow the devil to deceive us or when we are too self-centered.
As someone who has been a Christian for many years now, I know firsthand how important it is to constantly work on growing closer to God. And one way in which I’ve found success in this regard has been through effective prayer. By simply asking God, “What do you want me to do, Lord?”, my prayer life has improved significantly. So if your goal is similar to mine – knowing God better and being transparent with Him – then let’s get real! Let’s strive towards becoming more authentic in our superficial world because ultimately, our home is in heaven! Getting real can be an adventure that you will enjoy!~ Bill Greguska
1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Want To Stop Being Superficial And Start Getting Real?
Is My Purpose Unity, Or Is It, Division?
I am just getting real with you. God has been revealing much to me during the past years. But now, I am taking some giant steps in the right direction to be obedient to Him. I am doing this by making some significant changes in my life that I would like to share with you because of the many things God’s Word says, like in Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. It does not mean we need to seek Charles Stanley, Rick Warren, Billy Graham, etc. But, It says clearly in the Bible to seek HIS kingdom first. The bottom line is to seek Jesus Christ in prayer first and foremost. Then if you need more clarification, search the Bible. Then if you need more explanation, ask a pastor or close Christian friend who can help point you to Jesus. If you have tried all these things, then a Christian counselor might be helpful. Do not give up. Your answers are near if you continue to wait on the Lord.
I Have Realized I have Given Too Much Space In My Head To Others.
Those who do not necessarily belong there have caused me much confusion and frustration. As a result of this and the fact that God is a jealous God, I am solely putting all my hope and faith in Jesus Christ and putting Jesus on the throne of my life exclusively where He belongs. Yet, I will be open to fellowship with others, but different from what I was doing before. I am going to wait to run to others for advice as I have in the past. Because I will be running to God first, I know He will direct my path better than any preacher or Christian can because He is GOD, although God uses others to speak truth to us when we have ears to hear. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways, submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
I (We) Need To Guard Our Hearts And Minds
As it says in Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. I have sometimes failed to do that to a degree and have suffered the consequences of my foolishness. But not any longer. From now on, I have determined in my heart that I will use the brain and compassion that God has blessed me with and follow Him much more closely.
If we as Christians would be more concerned about what it says in Mark 12:30-31 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” But no, we (I) run everywhere at times with our priorities, and as a result, we argue and fight about foolishness and miss the whole point of why Christ came to this world. James 4:1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?
Five Ways Of Getting Real With God, Others, And Yourself!
An Example Of Getting Real!
We all want God to forgive us when we do wrong and sin. Yet we are often unwilling to forgive others, but God tells us in Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. I thank God for every person He has put into my life who has helped point me to the Lord. Yet, our relationship with God is a personal thing. We need to make our minds up about how we are to live. Yet, now I realize the importance of taking my (your) marching orders from God solely and allowing Him to speak through His Word, the way He reveals His truth to me and each one of us individually because of our relationship with Him. God has put a lot on my heart, and now the test is whether or not I (we) obey. As it says in John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
I hope and pray that what I have written makes sense to you enough for you to reconsider what you base your faith upon — shifting sand or solid ground. If it does not make sense, I suggest visiting GotQuestions.org or contactingGotQuestions.org, or please contact us.
