Are These Bible Truths, Or Just Wise Sayings?Does the Bible say?

Please contact us if you have any questions or comments or want some encouragement.

There are many saying that people think are Bible truths but are not! You can find out from what I have posted below on this page. You will discover that many things you thought were from the Bible were actually not from the Bible.  When you become more aware of the Bible, you will realize many different things, such as many wise quotes that can find roots in the Bible.  I have learned that the Bible refers to every aspect of human life in some way or another. It would be fair to say that if something is truthful, it would be rooted in the Bible in some way or another. Keep your ears open a little more, and you will discover our country was based on Bible truths and are valuable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. ~ Bill Greguska

Hebrews 4:12  For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

God’s Words vs. Man’s Words

Years ago, I wondered what the Bible said about the day’s topics.  I also wondered where my mom and dad got those one-liners such as, “Doing unto others as I would want them to do to me?” Or, “That we ought to love one another?” It made me think about other sayings and if they were actually from the Bible or not. I learned over a period that many expressions may sound like they are from the Bible, but they are not! Below you will see what I am referring to. I hope this will encourage you to read your Bible to learn what it says and does not. I hope and pray that you grow in a closer relationship with God through Bible truths. Remember that the Bible is full of wisdom and Godly counsel that we need to live Christ-like lives. ~ Bill Greguska

Bible Truths:

The LORD gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand. 2. Does The Bible Say? “Money Is The Root Of All Evil?”

Misquoted often by various writers over the ages. The Bible does not proclaim money as evil. However, it does declare that the love and lust toward money are where the problem lies. (is not in God’s word)

Bible Truths:

No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Matthew 6:24

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 1 Timothy 6:10

3. Does The Bible Say? “The Eye Is A Window To The Soul?”

Most attribute the quote to an old English proverb, and some feel the quote could have come from a poet in the Elizabethan age. (is not in God’s word)

Bible Truths:

The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:22-23
