In a world where misinformation and misconceptions run rampant, it is important to distinguish between what we believe are Bible truths and what actually aligns with the teachings of the Holy Scriptures. Often, we find ourselves encountering sayings that are mistakenly attributed to the Bible, perpetuated through repetition and societal influence. But here’s the beauty of knowledge – by delving deeper into the pages of God’s word, we can uncover these falsehoods and unravel their deceptive nature. It is in this pursuit that we become aware of how cunningly our adversaries manipulate those who lack awareness of the real truth.

However, as our understanding grows, so does our ability to discern genuine wisdom from mere fallacies. The richness of biblical teachings extends far beyond moral guidance; it encompasses every aspect of human life – be it love, forgiveness, perseverance or compassion. Thus, if something holds true value and authenticity in its message, you will likely find its roots embedded within the profound verses penned throughout history. By keeping an open ear and a receptive heart towards biblical truths, you may come to realize that even our very nation was built upon these principles. For within its sacred texts lies unparalleled wisdom capable of teaching us valuable lessons while offering guidance for righteous living—illuminating paths for correction and growth along life’s journey. Bible truths and are valuable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. ~ Bill Greguska

Hebrews 4:12  For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

God’s Words vs. Man’s Words

Years ago, I wondered what the Bible said about the day’s topics.  I also wondered where my mom and dad got those one-liners such as, “Doing unto others as I would want them to do to me?” Or, “That we ought to love one another?” It made me think about other sayings and whether they were actually from the Bible the Bible or not.

I learned over some time that many expressions may sound like they are from the Bible, but they are not! Below you will see what I am referring to. I hope this will encourage you to read your Bible to learn what it says and does not. I hope and pray that you grow closer to God through Bible truths. Remember that the Bible is full of wisdom and Godly counsel that we need to live Christ-like lives. ~ Bill Greguska

3. Does The Bible Say? “The Eye Is A Window To The Soul?”

Most attribute the quote to an old English proverb, and some feel the quote could have come from a poet in the Elizabethan age. (is not in God’s word)

The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:22-23
