Jesus My Best Friend! He Can Be Yours Too…What a friend we have in Jesus! NeedEncouragement.com

I say that Jesus is my best friend because He saved me from my sins, comforts me, gives me direction, strength, and wisdom, gives me and loves me, and when others in life sometimes turn their backs or leave us through a broken relationship or death, Jesus has never left me, and His word says He never will leave me! We all have had our share of Best Friends in our lives. I was told once that if you have five excellent “Best Friends” in your life (Hopefully, you still have them now), you have lived a whole life.

I have had many “Best Friends” in my many years of living. Each friend is unique in their particular way to me. We spent hours upon hours together, did many things together, went many places together, experienced many great memories together, grew both individually and as friends together, watched over one another, went out of our way to make each other happy and help each other, and seemed to always be there for each other. ~ Bill Greguska

Proverbs 18:24 One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

I Am A Sinner Saved By God’s Grace! But, Jesus Is My Best Friend!

Other friends have been a significant influence, and I consider them best friends too, but the above has substantially impacted my life. I would encourage you to list your “Best Friends” to understand who has influenced your life as I did. A good feeling of gratitude comes from making a list like this. ~ Bill Greguska

MAKE NEW FRIENDS…

KEEP THE OLD…

THE NEW ARE SILVER…

THE OLD ARE GOLD!

Jesus My Best Friend!

Best Friends Take:

  • Time

  • Effort

  • Love

  • Forgiveness

  • Patience

  • Understanding And More!

I made this list to honor these people who have impacted my life significantly as my “Best Friends. Others, too, were not listed, but God knows who they are. My point in this exercise was to list those people in my life that God put in my life for a season that I loved and who loved me. (you, too, can make the same type of list of your “Best Friends”) The comparison I am making is that no matter how much our past, present, or future best friends mean to us, we need to keep their value in perspective compared to our Lord.
Many of our friends, at some point, have let us down or hurt us deeply for some reason or another or even died. But the real reason is that they are human. But I know I have a “BEST FRIEND” who I love, and He always loves me. He comforts me when I need comfort. He forgives me when I do wrong and confesses to Him. He strengthens me when I am weak, hurt, or betrayed. He is always there to listen to me when I need to talk. He talks to me when I need direction, He encourages me when I am down, sad, or grieving, and He is gentle to me when I am hurt.
Jesus Christ is my best friend. Even though I have looked high and low to find someone to be my earthly “Best Friend” all these years, I now realize I always had my “Best Friend,” and He is Jesus Christ, my Lord, and Savior. I need not try to find a better friend because there is no such thing besides Jesus. If you need a “Best Friend,” try Jesus as I did, and you will be happily surprised like I was!
Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
