When I was a young boy, I used to dream about going to heaven one day. It seemed like a wondrous place filled with eternal joy and peace. Back then, I believed all it took to secure my spot in heaven was simply being good – following the rules, helping others, and making the right choices.

When I Entered My Twenties, Everything Changed When I Became A Born Again Christian. During This Time, I Discovered A Profound Truth – That Getting Into Heaven Wasn’t About Being Good Or Doing Good Deeds; It Is About Having Faith In Jesus Christ. The Realization Hit Me Like A Lightning Bolt, Because If Being Good Could Get Me Into Heaven, Why Would Jesus Have Needed To Die On The Cross For My Sins?

Jesus’ selfless act of sacrificing himself wiped away our sins and paved the way for us to enter eternity with god! have you accepted Jesus as your lord and savior? Accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior, knowing He paid the price for all of humanity’s transgressions, brought me great comfort and assurance regarding my destination after this earthly life ends – yes, going to heaven! This knowledge isn’t based on any actions or accomplishments of mine; rather, it rests solely on putting my faith in Jesus and following Him. Jesus did it all. Fact 1:

We can never be good enough to be right with God!

I must face the fact that I have sinned against God and need forgiveness.

Fact 2:

God makes us right with Him through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ died to forgive my sins and rose from the dead to give me a brand new life.

Fact 3:

God makes us right with Him through faith in Jesus!

I must turn from trying to be good enough and my empty pursuits of sin and place my faith in Jesus Christ.

What is your decision going to be?

  • It has been made aware that we all have sinned and deserve God’s judgment by God’s Word.
  • God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him.
  • Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins.
  • According to the Bible, He took the punishment that we deserved, was buried, and rose from the dead.
  • If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, “Jesus is Lord,” you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.

Salvation is your choice

God gives us free will to choose Him or not. He is a gentleman and will only us, not make us love Him.

God desires a relationship with us. Through prayer, we communicate perfectly with the one who knows and loves us. Prayer is a two-way communication in which we speak to God, and He speaks to us.
God loves you and wants you to know Him so He can fill you with peace and give you real life– forever. “God loved the people of this world so much that He gave His only son so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never die.” Jesus said, “I came so that everyone would have life and have it to its fullest.”
Since God planned for us to have peace and life, why are we so far from God?

I knew Diane from Elmbrook church and volunteered at a resale store called “Almost Anything.” Diana had stage 4 cancer for four, and she had incredible strength and confidence in the Lord. Diane was always cheerful and kind to everyone. She was very friendly, intelligent, reliable, and a natural leader. She had a beautiful, positive character, yet what made Diana tick was her love and faith for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Nice things are beautiful, but they did not get Diana into heaven. Her faith in Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross was not anything Diana did herself!

What is heaven?   Psalm 23:6   John 14:2   Matthew 6:9-10

Am I qualified for heaven?  Romans 6:23

What must I do?   1 John 1:9   John 5:24

How do I transition?  Psalm 23:4   2 Corinthians 5:8   Ecclesiastes 12:7

What will I look like?   Philippians 3:20-21   1 Corinthians 15:42-44

Will I become an angel?  Luke 20:36

Who else will be in heaven?  Revelation 7:9

 

 

How Can I Know That  I Will Be Going To Heaven?

Jesus Wants To Welcome You In Heaven!

Heaven will be a beautiful place someday!

The quick answer to this question is in:

Romans 10:9-10. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

The Bible teaches us a great deal about heaven. I researched Biblegateway.com and found 622 Bible results for “heaven.”

Heaven is very real, and so is hell. We are all going to die one day. Learn the truth about eternity!

A Total Of 24 Times Jesus Made Reference To God In Heaven:

  1. Matthew 5:16  Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
  2. Matthew 5:45  that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
  3. Matthew 5:48  Therefore, you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
  4. Matthew 6:1  Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise, you have no reward from your Father in heaven.
  5. Matthew 6:9  In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
  6. Matthew 7:11  If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him?
  7. Matthew 7:21  Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
  8. Matthew 10:32  Therefore, whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father, who is in heaven.
  9. Matthew 10:33  But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
  10. Matthew 12:50  For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.
  11. Matthew 16:17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father, who is in heaven.
  12. Matthew 18:10 Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven, their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

  6. Mark 13:32  But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
  7. Luke 11:2  So He said to them, When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
  8. Mat 5:12  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven.
  9. Matthew 6:19 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.
  10. Matthew 6:20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
  11. Luke 6:23  Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed, your reward is great in heaven.
  12. Luke 15:7  I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
