Religious Skeptic?
Would you like to talk to someone? Click Here!A skeptic is a person who, when he sees the handwriting on the wall, claims it is a forgery. ~ Morris Bender
This page speaks to people who doubt God or have been hurt by religion. This page shares my personal testimony of being freed from addiction through faith in Jesus and argues that Christianity is true, loving, and reasonable. It contrasts simply being a “good person“ with biblical faith in Christ, explains why some people remain skeptical (due to influences such as past hurt, sin, the media, and Satan), and stresses that Christians should lovingly share the gospel while recognizing that only God can change hearts. Several Bible verses and resources are offered to encourage skeptics to reconsider faith in God and explore Christianity more deeply.
Matthew 14:31 Immediately, Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

Doubting God? A Loving Invitation to Reconsider Faith
As I mentioned, many of the religious skeptics are “nice” people, yet when this life is over one day, they will, unfortunately, be separated from God. I know I was a little different since my parents raised me to believe in God and to pray.
It would be hard for me not to believe in God, not only because of what I was taught in a Christian school and church but because of what God has done for me in my life;the Lord healed me of my alcohol and drug addiction and came into my heart in 1986, and what He continues to do in my life is more than enough proof that God is alive and lives within those who believe in Him.
Have you had a bad experience with a churchwhile growing up?Many people have questions about God, Jesus, the Bible, and the church. Some have had bad experiences with religion. Others just aren’t sure what to believe anymore.
From what I have learned from the Bible and from my life experiences, there is no doubt that God created the world and everything in it. Then I take a quick look at how God organized the years, months, weeks, and days so they fit into a predictable calendar. Science even backs up what the Bible has claimed to be right over the centuries. Being a logical person, you, too, will understand the truth of the Bible if you give it a chance to prove itself to you, so you can also believe by faith that God created the entire universe, including you and me.

Are You A Believer in God, or Just a “Good Person?”
If a person stands for the six principles listed below, that is a good indication that they are a Christian. Still, others may be considered “good people.” But there is a difference between good people and those professing faith as Christians according to biblical standards. This made me wonder why some people believe in God, and others do not. The Scripture below differentiates between a believer and someone who is not.
Romans 10:9-10 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you accept and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Many “Good People” May Believe In The Following Principles:
Love one another.
Be kind to one another.
Forgive one another.
Help one another
Put others’ needs ahead of your own.
Do to others as you want them to do to you.
I know there is more to Christianity than these six principles, but I find it hard to understand why anyone would not live by them since they point to love and peace. Something to think about—if we keep it simple, Christianity makes a lot of sense!!!
The Case For Christ Will Make You Think!
My Thoughts on Why People Do Not Want to Believe in Jesus!
Satan has blinded their eyes and hearts.
Faith is hard to understand.
Our fleshly desires do not match up with Christianity.
Church takes time out of our already busy schedules.
Alcohol, drugs, and sexuality conflict with the “rules” of being a believer.
The belief that the church is just a waste of time.
Mental illness, depression, etc.
The belief that it is easier to live in a way that pleases them physically or emotionally.
The influence of the media and the lack of morals are demonstrated in movies, advertisements, TV, and the Internet.
They believe they do not need God to tell them how to live.
They are lazy and/or rebellious.
They view Christians as being hypocritical.
Church leaders who commit crimes.
People who are judged to be money-grabbing TV evangelists.
The belief is that the church’s primary purpose is to make money.
Sin feels good, and they don’t intend to stop.
Does Science Disprove God?
Is There Anyone We Can Influence?
We can not change others, but we can influence them. Only the Holy Spirit can change people. However, we can keep these people in our prayers and share a word or two to point them to the Lord. I think the bare minimum is to pray for the lost and to be grateful to God that we are no longer lost.
Every person on this planet is one decision away from ending up in jail or prison. We should thank God for redeeming us and protecting us from the temptations of our flesh, the world, and the devil. We must never think of ourselves as better than others. Instead, we must thank God for saving us and calling us His own. We can’t take this for granted; we must consciously see ourselves, humbly, saved by God’s grace. As the expression says, “There but for the grace of God go I. These shared thoughts make me thank God for giving me a better perspective on life than I had before. ~ Bill Greguska
Will This Religious Skeptic Get His Answers?
Why Would Someone Choose To Be A Religious Skeptic? Are You A Religious Skeptic?
God protected and guided me all these years, even when I was rebellious. I look out the window and see the beauty of nature that God has created, and I can only believe that a good God made it. This all. It is one thing to have questions about God. It is another thing to be a religious skeptic or not even be interested or close-mindedly, turned off entirely by anything having to do with God, possibly from past church experiences, the influence of this evil world, Satan, or their fleshly desires. God has shown me grace and mercy, and without doubt, I know He loves us all. He has given us life and the breath that we breathe. I pray that the Holy Spirit works in your heart so that you may understand God’s wisdom, power, mercy, love, and grace, if you have not done so already! ~ Bill Greguska.

Atheist Comedian Gets To The Heart Of Things!
Fellow believers and seekers of truth, it’s important to remember that being a religious skeptic is not always about pure curiosity or intellectual inquiry. Many individuals have been influenced by the negative words and opinions of others, as well as the deceptive schemes of Satan himself. It can be easy to fall prey to the lies spread by society and the media, but we must remain vigilant in seeking the truth for ourselves. Even so, there are still those who hold onto their skepticism despite having grown up with faith-based teachings, such as Catholic or Protestant, and values instilled in them from childhood. I have learned in my life that many religious skeptics can be very nice people, yet their lack of faith in Jesus can keep them out of heaven and away from God for eternity. They have bought the lies from Satan, and the deception from the media and the world in general. They have swallowed the lies that they have heard and the sinful desires that come from our flesh.
