The fact of the matter is that we are all sinners. Becoming a Christian does not happen magically just because someone told you about Jesus, God, or The Bible. (Knowledge is a part of it), but the real work is done through the Holy Spirit of God when a person is open to the fact that Jesus lived, died, and rose again to pay for our sins.

It is when the Holy Spirit changes a person’s heart and that person then wants to live their lives and follow the Lord and do His will, and stop doing their own will.  A person may say that they are a Christian because they are good, go to church, or give money to the poor, it is your faith that saves you, not by anything good that you can do. A genuine Christian has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ after coming to a saving knowledge of God. ~ Bill Greguska
