Thinking you might have an alcohol problem? NeedEncouragement.comPlease contact us if you have questions or if you need some encouragement.

If you even suspect that you may have an alcohol problem, it can be a scary and overwhelming realization. It takes courage to acknowledge the possibility of having a problem with alcohol or drugs. I know this because I was once in your shoes. When my life revolved around using and manipulating others for my gain, I knew deep down that something wasn’t right. Quitting alcohol and drugs was only one part of the solution; ultimately, I needed to work on changing my attitude and character as well.

Fortunately, there is hope for those struggling with addiction. Through the grace of God, I have been sober since 1986. But let me be clear – it wasn’t easy by any means. My past mistakes were numerous: getting kicked out of my parents’ house at just 19 years old, being in jail several times…the list goes on. If you are currently battling an alcohol problem or any addiction, please don’t feel like you’re alone in this fight! Reach out to God and ask for help; He wants nothing more than to see you overcome this struggle! And remember – accepting help from others is key too. I pray that through your struggles with addiction, maybe, just maybe, it will lead you towards a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ as it did mine all those years ago!~ Bill Greguska

Proverbs 23:31  Do not gaze at wine when it is red when it sparkles in the cup when it goes down smoothly!

How Possible Is It That You Have An Alcohol Problem?

You Think You Might Have An Alcohol Problem? NeedEncouragement.com

Don’t take a chance, and if you think you might have a problem with alcohol and drugs, you are probably right!

If you have any doubts about addiction, learn more on this page. Does it seem that your drinking is getting out of control? Age, race, sex, education, religion, and political or economic status do not mean anything to alcohol or alcoholism. I say that addiction is both a disease and a sin. The world says it is a disease, and the church says it is a sin. I assume it is both yet leaning towards evil.

Do you want some help? The first thing that you need to do to get sober or straight and to have a chance to break the chains of your addiction is to admit that you might have an alcohol problem or a drug problem in the first place before anything can move forward!

Trust that God has a more effective and better plan for you than spending your time drinking or using drugs. This change happened to me with my alcohol problem when I hit bottom and asked God for His help, and He put the right people in my life to help me. You can also change your life with God’s help if you think you have a problem with alcohol and want to get help for yourself, as I did! I attended AA and NA in the early 1990s, and I wondered how Alcoholics Anonymous compares with the Bible. ~ Bill Greguska
