34 Bible Verses About The Importance Of Exercise!

Please get in touch with us if you have any questions or need some encouragement.

This page talks about the importance of exercise for both physical and spiritual well-being. It encourages starting slowly, staying consistent, stretching, eating well, getting enough sleep, and asking God for help with motivation. It also ties exercise to Bible passages about discipline, self-control, and running the race of faith.

We all need exercise, plain and simple. The question is, “What is the importance of exercise?” Think of it this way: exercise is the foundation of a healthy lifestyle that helps us feel physically and emotionally better. If you’re not getting enough exercise, it’s time to make a change! Don’t worry if you’ve never been athletic or don’t know where to start – take it slow and build up gradually over time. Remember that your spiritual health and emotional encouragement are just as important as your physical health, so make sure to nourish those aspects of yourself, too. Be kind to your body when you start exercising; you might even want to contact your doctor for his advice. You do not want to push too hard at the start. You need to set a pace for yourself that is realistic and safe. Start slowly, get on track with a regular exercise plan, and try to stick to it as best you can. If you get lazy or unmotivated, be wise and ask God to help you get right back into it!

1 Timothy 4:8  For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the future.

The Blessings That Come From Exercise!

We all know that exercise is essential. Take a health check-in to ensure you’re exercising enough, or are you choosing the wide road and not pushing yourself too hard for whatever reason? I have played sports since 4th grade. The habit of exercise became ingrained in me.

Many people are not as lucky as I am, and exercise can be challenging for them. Regular exercise, a healthy diet, and a healthy lifestyle can help us feel better, function better, sleep better, and live our lives to the fullest. ~ Bill Greguska

How Much Do You Exercise Each Week?

Exercise is one of the best things for your health and a longer life!

  • If we do not care for our bodies, our bodies will not care for us.
  • Starting with just a bit of exercise is better than none.
  • Like anything worthwhile in life, training may not be easy, but it pays off with good health.
  • Working out will be painful, but the gain of becoming physically healthier will be worth it. Fight the feelings of being lazy.
  • Obstacles don’t have to stop you. Don’t turn around and give up if you run into a wall. Figure out how to climb, go through, or work around it.” ~ Michael Jordan
  • Training gives us an outlet for suppressed energies created by stress, thus toning the spirit just as exercise conditions the body. Arnold Schwarzenegger

How To Get In Shape Both Physically And Spiritually?

A good goal is like a strenuous exercise – it makes you stretch. ~ Mary Kay Ash

Philippians 3:13-14  Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
