We all need exercise, plain and simple. The question is, “What is the importance of exercise?” Think of it this way, exercise is the foundation of a healthy lifestyle that helps us feel physically and emotionally better. If you’re not getting enough exercise, it’s time to make a change! Don’t worry if you’ve never been athletic or don’t know where to start – take it slow and build up gradually over time. Remember that your spiritual health and emotional encouragement are just as important as your physical health, so make sure to nourish those aspects of yourself, too. Be kind to your body when you start exercising; you might even want to contact your doctor for his advice. You do not want to push too hard at the start. You need to set a pace for yourself that is realistic and safe. Start slowly, get on track with a regular exercise plan, and try to stick to it as best you can. If you get lazy or unmotivated, be wise and ask God to help you get right back into it!
