10 Bible Verses About Alcohol Is Wrecking My Life!

Please get in touch with us if you have questions or if you need some encouragement.

This is a Christian encouragement page for people who feel alcohol is destroying their lives. I have been sober since 1986; my past struggles with alcohol and drugs emphasize that addiction can affect anyone. If you think you are having problems, I urge you to admit it honestly and seek help. I encourage you to turn to God, use resources like AA/NA and Christian support, and take your recovery one day at a time. I include Bible verses warning against drunkenness, highlight that addiction is both a serious problem and a spiritual issue, and offer links and contact options for prayer, counseling, and practical help.

Proverbs 23:31  Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly!

How Possible Is It That You Have An Alcohol Problem?

You Think You Might Have An Alcohol Problem? NeedEncouragement.comIf you have any doubts about addiction, learn more on this page. Does it seem that your drinking is getting out of control? Age, race, sex, education, religion, and political or economic status do not mean anything to alcohol or alcoholism. I say that addiction is both a disease and a sin. The world says it is a disease, and the church says it is a sin. I assume it is both yet leaning towards evil.

Do you want some help? The first thing that you need to do to get sober or straight and to have a chance to break the chains of your addiction is to admit that you might have an alcohol problem or a drug problem in the first place, before anything can move forward! Don’t take a chance, because if you think you might have a problem with alcohol and drugs, you are probably right!

Trust God’s Plan For Your Life!

Trust that God has a more effective and better plan for you than spending your time drinking or using drugs. This change happened to me with my alcohol problem when I hit bottom and asked God for His help, and He put the right people in my life to help me. You can also change your life with God’s help if you think you have a problem with alcohol and want to get help for yourself, as I did! I attended AA and NA in the early 1990s, and I wondered how Alcoholics Anonymous compares with the Bible. ~ Bill Greguska
