It’s easy to get caught up in society’s expectations and forget to live according to God’s standards. But if you do find yourself veering off course, remember that it’s never too late to turn things around. I know this firsthand because I hit rock bottom before I turned my life over to God. I learned that seeking guidance from people alone can be unreliable, but following the teachings of the Bible ensures a clear conscience before God. Living right is something many people struggle with, whether you are single, married, male, or female. An addiction can cause many problems in life; if you have not experienced that yet, you do not want to believe me! God ended my addictions over three decades ago. My life is not perfect, but it has been so much better than before, thank God!

Romans 7:14-18 We know that the law is spiritual, but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do, but what I hate, I do. If I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who does it, but it is a sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

You Are More Than Just A Spiritual Being!

You are also a physical, emotional, psychological, and social being who needs balance to have any chance of living well. Apply the following recommendations:

Eat healthy. Avoid sugar and alcohol.
Drink plenty of water.
Get regular exercise.
Get 7-8 hours of sleep.
Be in contact with friends and family regularly.
Forgive others who have wronged you.
Laugh and think positively.
Keep busy, but not too busy.
Love, help, and encourage others.
Let go of things that you have no control over.

A Question That Often Plagues Us!

Regardless of our marital status, we all need to make sure that our consciences are clear before God. Don’t lose hope if you feel like you are not living the right way! You can always learn to live right with God’s help. I was once lost and confused until I hit rock bottom and sought guidance from God. Instead of relying on people for direction, it’s crucial to find out what God’s word says about your situation.

After quitting drugs and alcohol on June 25th, 1986, my journey towards living a better life began. It hasn’t been perfect since then, but there has been significant improvement! Through prayer and regular Bible reading, I have found strength, wisdom, understanding, peace, and healing in challenging times – all thanks to God’s unwavering presence by my side, through thick and thin. Accepting Jesus into your life might not be an instant cure-all for your problems; however, it does mean you will have divine assistance whenever obstacles arise on this path called “life.”

How To Live Right?

Be more concerned about what God thinks than what others think.
Love God with all your heart, mind, and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself.
Think of others more highly than yourself.
Trust God in all that you do.
Take care of your health, eat right, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep.
Read your Bible and pray each day.
Speak kindly about everyone, if possible.
Be a servant to all people.
Enjoy your friendships.
Be friendly to everyone you meet.
Share the Gospel with anyone who wants to know.
Live your life for God, not yourself.
Share acts of kindness with others as often as possible (realize that they do not get you to heaven, though).
Forgive those who have done you wrong.
Be kinder to those who irritate you.

How To Live Right And Stop Sinning?

People need to acknowledge the past and learn from it, but don’t live in it. Remember, when Satan throws your history in your face, remind him of his future.

Philippians 3:12-14. “Not that I have already obtained all this or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

What do you think about past pain and hurts? “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Bring yourself and others to the Lord in prayer.

Ask God To Help You Stop Sinning ~ And Live Right!

Repent and believe. Repent means to change direction 180 degrees from where you are going and find a means to place your trust in and accept as accurate. Faith and belief have an objective; they’re not ends in themselves.
