The word “gospel” comes from the Greek “euangelion,” meaning “good news.” The New Testament refers to the announcement that Jesus has brought the reign of God to the world through His life, death, and resurrection. “In the beautiful message of the Gospel, we find God’s grace shining brightly. What is the Gospel? It is through this divine grace alone that we are saved, not by our efforts or good deeds. The foundation of our salvation lies in faith alone in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross. We think about Christ’s ultimate sacrifice for our sins, and His triumphant resurrection, it becomes clear that salvation is not about what we must do, but rather what JESUS HAS ALREADY DONE FOR US! Our walk does not determine our worthiness; instead, it is Christ’s perfect work that is the bedrock of our redemption!

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

The Gospel In A Nutshell!

Good News (Gospel) & Bad News (Sin)

The bad news is that sin entered the world when Adam and Eve fell into temptation by disobeying God, and because of that original sin, we are separated from God.

The good news is that God sent His Son, Jesus, to redeem us from our sins. Jesus was born, lived, was crucified, died, was buried, and rose from the dead to save us from God’s judgment. It is our choice to accept or reject the Gospel’s good news.

We need to realize we live in a sinful world (watch the news to understand what I’m talking about) and that we are all sinners. We need to recognize that without Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross for us, our sins would not be forgiven, and we would be separated from God now and for eternity. Apply the good news of the Gospel and witness how it will make you view life differently! ~ Bill Greguska

Can The Gospel Be Explained In One Minute?

Do You Understand The Gospel?

The path to eternal life is paved with faith and trust in Jesus alone. When confronted with the Gospel, all that is required from us is a simple act of belief – placing our unwavering faith solely in Jesus Christ. In doing so, we open ourselves up to freedom like never before! However, before one can fully grasp this liberating truth, one must first understand why salvation is necessary.

We are all sinners- imperfect beings who fall short of God’s righteousness time and time again. This separation caused by sin leads only to an eternity apart from God – a fate none of us desire deep down within our souls. Believe me, there is no need to be afraid to share the Gospel or your personal testimony with others.

Yet there exists hope amidst this darkness: accepting Jesus as both Lord and Savior opens a pathway to heaven, not to mention the support and guidance here on earth! Only when one understands that they are a sinner and can not save themselves, and we need a Savior in Jesus Christ. Tell others about us so they, too, can understand the Gospel more clearly. ~ Bill Greguska
