Build Stronger Relationships Through Better Listening!
Please get in touch with us if you have any questions or need some encouragement.
On this page, you will find that we emphasize that communication is about both speaking and listening, especially listening well, and tie that idea to many aspects of healthy relationships. Often, people talk in circles or fail to specify what they mean, which makes communication very difficult. Communicating effectively involves many factors, such as what we say, our attitude, eye contact, and tone of voice. The problem is sometimes what we say, but other times, it is how we say it. The question is, “Why is communication so important?” Communication is not only about speaking but also about listening attentively. It takes effort to be a good listener and a talker. We should remember that God has given us two ears to hear and one mouth to speak for a reason. God wants us to listen twice as much as we speak, but it’s not always easy.
1 John 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Why Communication Matters in Every Relationship?
If we want healthy communication in our relationships, we must strive to be friendly while treating others respectfully, kindly, calmly, and patiently, as we would like to be treated! To be a good communicator, a person must first be a good listener. ~ Bill Greguska

Build Healthy Relationships?
Communication: A Path to Stronger Connection!
It connects us to others, helps us build healthy relationships, and helps us understand each other better. However, for healthy communication, we must be good listeners and talkers. We must remember that God has given us two ears to hear and only one mouth to speak. This means that listening should always come before talking. Although it may seem complicated, practicing active listening can help you become a better communicator in the long run.
Good communication involves many factors, such as body language, tone of voice, and attitude toward the person you speak with. Being friendly toward others and treating them as you want to be treated can create a positive atmosphere that encourages open communication. Remember that every conversation is an opportunity for growth and understanding, so let’s strive to communicate effectively by being attentive listeners and thoughtful speakers!
Trust God, Listen Well, and Speak Wisely!
- Talking about your feelings can help you understand what you are going through. Sometimes, verbalizing what upsets you or what someone you trust is upset about can help you sort through your emotions or simplify the situation.
- It helps you get things in perspective. If you keep things to yourself, a situation can seem more overwhelming than it actually is. The best thing to do is talk to someone about it (in this case, me), which might help you see the situation from a new or different perspective. Someone like me, outside the problem, would also be less emotionally involved in what’s going on because the outcome wouldn’t affect me personally.
- I could relate my experiences and faith to be of help. I want to make it clear that I am not a professional counselor. I am just someone like you who has been through my share of life experiences and somehow landed on my feet. The consideration with me can suggest options you had not considered before. It helps to talk with someone rather than take everything on your shoulders.
- It helps you figure out how to release tension. Talking through your concerns can also be an excellent way to release pent-up stress. Just “getting the problem out” can help you feel better. It feels great, but it can also give you new insights into what’s happening in your life.
