Love Is The Answer?
There Are Four Types Of Love!
- Romantic Love (Eros)—the feeling of “being in love,” physical passion. Often, people think of this kind of love when they think of “love.” Romantic love is healthy when it is a one-person/one-woman monogamous relationship within the bounds of marriage.
- Affection (Storge) is the natural bond between parent and child. It is the most natural (it just happens!) and passionate (children can’t help it!), But it can “go wrong,” and people can get hurt when it becomes unhealthy. Affection, too, can be based on feelings.
- Friendship (Phileo)—the love between friends. Friendship is a strong bond between people who share common interests or activities. But feelings are involved in this kind of love, too—cliques can be formed, friends can hurt friends, and pride can ruin friendships.
- Unconditional Love (Agape)—This type of care and love is shown regardless of the circumstance. It never fails. Jesus was talking about this kind of love, the only always-healthy type. It seeks the welfare and best interests of another person, regardless of how we feel about them.

Why Do Some People Struggle With Love?
Here is a list of types of love. Romantic love is meant for marriage, yet a person does not have to be married, since there are different types of love. The Greek language has words for four types of love: storge (affection), philia (friendship), eros (romantic love), and agape (unconditional love). Each type represents a different aspect of love, ranging from familial bonds to deep friendships and passionate romance.
Each type of love requires different actions and behaviors, but it all requires putting the other person first. Maybe some people do not know how to share love, or have been hurt by others and are reluctant to become vulnerable again. Learn how to love one another, since God commands us to love one another! God wanted us to be free to choose, recognizing that true love can exist only when it is freely given. God gave us free will, allowing us to choose between good and evil.
