Spiritual Revival?

Would you like to talk to someone? Click Here! Have you noticed how much praying for revival has been going on of late – and how little revival has resulted? The problem is that we have been trying to substitute praying for obeying, and it simply will not work. ~ A. W. Tozer
Could your relationship with Jesus need a spiritual revival?
Please get in touch with us if you have any questions or need some encouragement.
- Prayer. With consistency, every genuine move of the Holy Spirit is precipitated by times of earnest prayer.
- Heart searching accompanied by confession of sin and genuine repentance.
- Changes in conduct and behavior, a turning from evil.
- Acts of the Holy Spirit. “Like what?” you may be asking. In some cases, revival has been accompanied by weeping, joy, and spirited singing and rejoicing.
- Growth in the churches as people want to worship and hear the Word. The attraction is not great music, a program, or the building, but a desire to fellowship with men and women who are redeemed and to hear the Word of God.
Lord, Start A Spiritual Revival Start Within Me!
Point The Finger Towards Yourself…
I hear from people who are disappointed with their church. “It is too dry.” “Boring.” “A social club.” “They only want my money” is one of their comments. What I think they are really saying is that their church needs new life, a spiritual awakening, a return to the purpose for which it was born. Should you feel that way, why not start praying for your church?
Invite a close friend to join you. Rather than talk about how bad things are, pray and ask God to send a spiritual awakening. Realize that when God revives your soul, revival is on its way to your church. ~ Bill Greguska

Do You Need A Spiritual Revival?
In my life, I have had several so-called mini revivals, and many of you who are Christian can relate to what I am saying. Revival refers to a spiritual reawakening from a state of dormancy or stagnation in a believer’s life. A passion for God’s Word and His church, a convicting awareness of personal sin, a spirit of humility, and a desire for repentance and growth in the righteousness of God.
A revival sometimes deepens a believer’s faith, opening their eyes to the truth in a fresh, new way. It generally involves a fresh start with a clean slate, marking a new beginning of a life lived in obedience to God. It generates both the will and power to live in the world, but not of the world. The First Great Awakening produced an upsurge of devotion among Protestants in the 1730s and 1740s. Breaking away from dry ritual and rote church ceremony, the Great Awakening made Christianity intensely personal to the average person, as it should be, by creating a deep emotional need for a relationship with Christ.

Begin A Spiritual Revival, Like When We First Accepted Jesus!
Revival, in a way, replicates the believer’s experience when they are saved. It is initiated by the Holy Spirit’s prompting, creating an awareness of something missing or wrong in the believer’s life that can only be righted by God. God, through His Holy Spirit, calls us to revival in various situations. Christ’s letters to the seven churches reveal some circumstances that may necessitate revival.
According To The Bible, We Are To Examine Ourselves:
The Greatest Spiritual Revival In History
Have You Forsaken Your First Love?
In the letter to Ephesus, Christ praised the church for their perseverance and discernment, but He stated that they had forsaken their first love (Revelation 2:4-5). Often, as the excitement of accepting Christ grows cold, we lose the zeal we had at first. We become bogged down in the ritual, going through the motions, but we no longer experience the joy of serving Christ.
Revival helps restore that first love and passion for Christ. Revival can lift us to new hope and faith, and it helps resuscitate the spiritual life. In Revelation 3:11, we are further warned against complacency, a life that does not bear fruit. All of these scenarios call for revival. The evidence of revival is changed lives. Great movements toward righteousness, evangelism, and social justice occur. Believers are once again spending time in prayer, reading, and obeying God’s Word.
