Winning Souls!

Would you like to talk to someone? Click Here! I would rather win souls than be the greatest king or emperor on earth; I would rather win souls than be the greatest general that ever commanded an army; I would rather win souls than be the greatest poet, or novelist, or literary man who ever walked the earth. My one ambition in life is to win as many as possible. ~ R. A. Torrey

The answer to the question, “Why try to win souls?” is an interesting question; for me, it is a relatively simple one. I’ll share an analogy to help explain it. If you could prevent a train wreck that could save hundreds of people’s lives, wouldn’t you jump at the occasion to do something about it? That is how I feel about trying to help win souls to the Lord. Not only that, it says in Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, many people have already made their minds up and do not have ears to hear. With these types of people, I have found it best to share a little, and if they do not want to hear, then I can only pray for them. Ask yourself, “Why should I try to win souls?” and you will find the fuel to start witnessing to others!
I Knew In My Heart That Between The Time That I Was A Teenager Up To The Time When I Was In My Mid Twenties, That My Soul Was Lost And Heading For Hell. My Flesh Strongly Desired The Gratification Of Alcohol And Drugs, And The Sinful Lifestyle I Was Living. My Life Was Heading For A Train Wreck. God Put Some People In My Life To Help, But I Was Determined To Live My Life For My Flesh And Had Little To No Fear Of God. Bottom Line: The Holy Spirit Came Through And Delivered Me From Myself!
Psalm 66:16 Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.
How Can You Share Your Story In A Better Way? Why Should I Try To Win Souls?
How Far Would You Go To Help Someone…
Another analogy would be: if your neighbor’s house were on fire, wouldn’t you do something about it? I could think of a lot of other analogies, but I am sure you got the idea. The only real problem with trying to tell others about Jesus who are not open or willing to hear about Jesus (the solution/cure) is that, after you share the truth with the unbeliever, it is time to step back and keep praying for them.
The Holy Spirit is the one who saves people, not you and me. We are just the messengers of the good news of the Gospel. God does not force himself on us, so we need not force ourselves on others. I can be frustrating, yet God is in control. I am happy that some people were trying to point me to Jesus, and that is why I try to win souls through this website and in daily life. ~ Bill Greguska

Try To Win Souls: How To Lead Someone To Christ?
Tell Others What Christ Did!
The Lord Came Into My Life!
- I committed my life to Jesus Christ on June 25, 1986. Praise to God! That was the beginning of the end and the start of better days to come. It was the last time I used drugs or alcohol. Many things lead up to that life-changing decision. I did not see fireworks or anything like that, but I knew in my heart and mind that the answer to my life was Jesus Christ. The Lord returned my life, so I decided it was only fitting. I began to live my life for him. With all the help and encouragement that Ron and Sue Sauer gave me, I was inspired to start NeedEncouragement.com in 2007 to encourage others as I was encouraged.

Walking With The Lord!
- My relationship with Jesus Christ is significant to me because of all that God has taught me and saved me from; I have gotten into a good habit of starting each day in God’s word and journaling for many years now, and I also have stayed active in Bible study and church for many years. I do not believe that memorizing the Bible is what God wants from us (even though it is essential). But instead, God wants a relationship with us, and that is what I have, which I am very thankful for. My life is still nowhere near perfect, but I am far past where I used to be and striving forward to where God wants me to be more and more each day.

Witnessing
(This section is from The Book I wrote)
Lord, my story is my story and cannot be debated. People can argue with me about you and the Bible, but they cannot discuss my testimony with me – it is my account of how you have worked and are working in my life. Each of us has a testimony that can be slightly different, yet faith-based testimonies are based on faith in you, Lord, and what your word proclaims. It’s hard to argue with that!
I pray that I do not keep my faith a private matter. Please continue to give me boldness, respect, kindness, wisdom, and patience when I witness to others. Increase my confidence in you, Lord, when I share my faith.
Telling The World!
I want to be a witness for you with my actions, as well as my lips. Lord, I pray I can be the best witness possible, but sometimes my words are criticized and insulted. I have discovered that handing out encouragement business cards is a great way to witness to others. The cards are an icebreaker that points people to you, which is my goal. This, along with my website, allows people to think and ask questions independently.
I pray that when I share my faith, my message can be just what they need to hear to awaken their own faith and salvation in you, Lord. In turn, they will share their testimonies and serve as a link to someone else’s salvation. I pray that others can come to know you as Lord and Savior because of our testimonies and the Holy Spirit working in their hearts.
The foundation stones for balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love, and loyalty. ~ Zig Ziglar, famous author and motivational speaker.
