While it is unfortunate that I had to go through a divorce, there are important lessons to be learned from my experience. Divorce leaves emotional scars, but with the right mindset and approach, you can use these scars as stepping stones towards building a better future. It’s easy to get lost in the fairytale idea of Marriage, where everything is perfect forever, but reality often proves otherwise. To avoid a senseless divorce, it is wise to ask yourself why Marriage can be so tricky. Then, find solutions before things get out of hand. Whenever a couple works together on anything, some sparks are sometimes bound to fly. A mature couple communicates well, respects one another, and loves one another! Sometimes the things not said are more important than the things said.

- First, remember that a happy wife is a happy life! This happy life comes from both the husband and wife following Jesus Christ.
- A happy marriage is the union of two people who can forgive.
- Understanding the importance of headship and mutual submission in the Bible and your Marriage? Ephesians 5:21-25
- What are the expectations about situations where one of you might be alone with someone of the opposite sex?
- How are tasks shared in the home: cleaning, cooking, washing dishes, yard work, car upkeep, repairs, shopping for food, budgeting and paying bills, and other household concerns and responsibilities?
- Have you shared your fears, strengths, weaknesses, vulnerabilities, goals, desires, and plans?
