What Does Biblical Mentoring Look Like?
I Have Been Very Fortunate To Have An Excellent Mentor Named Sue Sauer
Pastor Ron and Sue Sauer worked diligently to keep my marriage alive. Unfortunately, when the marriage dissolved, they kept helping me since I became depressed and life became unmanageable. My mom and Sue Sauer were the two most dedicated people helping me. Their help has encouraged me to help others.
There were a few other Christian friends of mine who have helped point me to Jesus Christ time and time again. I have also had a couple of other mentor-type people who have also been of immense help to me, such as My Mom, My Brother Tom Greguska, Brian Larson, Ken Krause, Dave Briscoe, Mark Mallwitz, Lisa Stockpole, Peg Gogonelis, plus a few other good friends, teachers, and coaches. ~ Bill Greguska
What Does It Mean To Be A Mentor?
Are You Feeling A Little Lost?
If you’re feeling lost and unsure of your spiritual journey, seeking guidance from a mentor is okay. Remember that mentors are not counselors but ordinary Christians who have taken the step in faith to help others compassionately and respectfully. They are here to lift you up and support you through your struggles.
Don’t be afraid to talk to a mentor if that’s what you need right now! It’s completely normal, and having more than one mentor can even be beneficial in case one lacks expertise in certain areas where one may need help. So go ahead, take that leap of faith, and reach out for someone to walk alongside you on this journey because we were never meant to do it alone—God created us for relationships with others!
