Here is some political advice for Democrats and Republicans alike.

Talking politics can be a heated subject; we all know that. Political advice is best given, I have learned, not by poking the bear when it comes to opposing beliefs; at the same time, I have found that I can share my thoughts if I believe they can help someone hear the truth rather than believe a lie. Everyone has their own political and religious beliefs, and respecting and acknowledging this is essential. When I was growing up, my mom wisely advised me not to discuss politics openly, as it often leads to heated debates that can divide people. When I was in my late 40s, two friends of mine, Brian Larson and John Wegner, introduced me to politics after I had avoided it for many years. They gave me their political advice and explained things to me so I could better understand. However, genuine conversations about political matters are essential for progress and understanding when shared with respect.
Giving Political Advice And Opinions, Are Best Shared Only With Permission, And Then Only With A Compassionate Tone Of Voice And Attitude! This Can Create A Safe Space Where Different Perspectives Are Respected And Heard. Remembering That Religion And Politics Can Coexist If We Speak The Truth With Empathy And Seek Common Ground Rather Than Argue Against One Another Is Crucial!
Proverbs 20:3 It Is To One’s Honor To Avoid Strife, But Every Fool Is Quick To Quarrel.

Are You Proud To Be An American…
In the United States, citizens can vote according to their conscience, guided by God’s will. Engaging in angry arguments only drives people apart instead of fostering meaningful dialogue. Sometimes, it may be best not to talk about politics directly but rather pray for wisdom from above to learn how to love our “enemy,” just as Jesus taught us. By allowing the Holy Spirit into our hearts and those of our neighbors, we can experience gradual transformation through open-mindedness and understanding.
For example, if a person values life rather than abortion, they would vote accordingly. Despite my mother’s advice on avoiding controversial topics like politics or religion, I have chosen a more balanced approach to understanding others’ viewpoints while sharing my own experiences. Engaging in thoughtful discussions is fruitful for both parties when I agree with someone else on certain political beliefs or values. However, when confronted with differing opinions, I believe the answer is to ask the Holy Spirit to lead you and to show respect to all people. ~ Bill Greguska
