100 Bible Verses About Help for Addiction!

Please get in touch with us if you have any questions or need some encouragement.

This “Help For Addiction” page encourages people such as yourself who are struggling with alcohol, drugs, pornography, gambling, overeating, smoking, or other addictions to seek recovery through honesty, prayer, support, and God’s help. We emphasize that the first step is admitting the need for help, reaching out to others, and taking recovery one day at a time. This page also shares my personal testimony of overcoming addiction after repeated short-term treatment, long-term recovery at Gemini House, church support, Bible study, AA/NA involvement, and faith in Christ, while pointing you, the reader, to practical resources such as AA, NA, Al-Anon, Teen Challenge, Christian counseling, chat support, Scripture, and addiction-related links.

If you find yourself struggling with addiction, you need recovery. Please note that hope and help are available. Do you need assistance with an addiction? You do not have to go through this alone. The first step towards recovery is admitting that you need it and turning your will over to God. Ask Him for deliverance from the demon of addiction through prayer – God’s love and power can work miracles in your life. I understand how difficult it can be; I’ve been there myself, trying to fight my battles with strength but ultimately falling short.

Ephesians 5:18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

God’s Help for Addiction and Lasting Recovery!

If you’re feeling like you need recovery, know that there is hope and help available for your addiction. The first step on this journey is to admit that you have a habit and then turn your will to God. Through prayer and seeking divine intervention, God can deliver you from the demon of addiction. But once I let God into my life in 1986 and started following Him, everything changed – He held me tight and guided me through it all.

I speak from personal experience when I say that trying to overcome addiction with my strength was a frustrating cycle of relapses every 30 or 60 days. If you are struggling with an addiction of any kind, don’t give up hope! Reach out to others who can help guide you toward recovery. Remember that being able to conquer drugs or alcohol is one of the most significant accomplishments anyone could achieve – so keep pushing forward!

Help for Addiction: Recovery Is Possible!
Find help for addiction

Help for addictions can be found right around the corner! People need to admit they need help for addictions before getting it. Help for addictions is right around the corner! There is help for addictions of all types. It is not until someone can admit they need help with addiction that they can get help. Acknowledging that you are powerless over whatever your addiction may be is the first step to recovery.

You can take a test to see if you have an addiction problem. Keep in mind that God has not and will never leave you. God has given us free will so we can love and obey him independently, not because we were programmed to do so. You are not alone when it comes to addictions; it would be reasonable to say you know of someone struggling with either alcohol, drug, cigarette, or gambling addiction in your life today. ~ Bill Greguska

Has Our Society Turned Into A Frog In A Kettle?

In our society, alcohol and drugs have become an accepted way of life. Our community has become like a frog in a kettle. Then the gas slowly increased, and the water got warmer. The frog is unaware of the subtle temperature change and does not realize he should jump out of the kettle. He gets false security in his comfortable water, which turns out to be his death. (If he did not treat his conditions in the pot, as usual, he would have jumped out, just like many in our society with addictions!)

There has been an alarming increase in drug and alcohol problems in the United States alone. More bad habits have emerged due to a more permissive attitude among parents, a lack of nurturing and training for their children, and peer pressure among young people. It is so evident that many Americans battle with alcohol and drugs for many different reasons.

There are other types of addictions, such as gambling problems, pornography, overeating, or smoking cigarettes. By the way, if you want some resources on quitting smoking, click here. I also borrowed a 12-step program from the NA and AA programs to fit my thinking and faith in Jesus Christ.
