The debt of love is a powerful force God commands us to uphold. When we make the vow of marriage, it is a promise unto death do they part. However, when sin creeps into our lives and relationships, it causes strife and discord, and we may be tempted to break that promise. But this grieves God’s heart because He knows how important it is for us to keep our debts paid in full – especially the obligation of love!

We All Need To Be Loved And Forgiven For Our Sinful Actions! So Why Would We Not Feel Obligated To Extend That Same Grace And Mercy Toward Others? It Can Be Challenging Sometimes, But Even If Reconciliation Isn’t Always Possible Due To Great Grievances Or Safety Concerns, The Debt Of Love And Forgiveness Can Never Be Overlooked. God Commands Us To Love And Forgive One Another!

Let us strive each day to repay this debt by loving one another as Christ loves us – unconditionally and without reservation. Remember Matthew 6:15 – if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive yours. So, let’s honor God’s commandment and keep our debts of love paid in full! ~ Bill Greguska

If you owe someone an apology, you should make it without another day going by. If you have wronged someone, now is the time to seek forgiveness. Make things right between the two of you!

  1. When you owe someone a phone call, you should make it ASAP. If you’ve lost touch with a friend, it is time to reestablish your friendship without further hesitation!
  2. If you owe your time and attention, family members such as a spouse or child are the place to start. You should offer your time to the other person as soon as possible. When you claim that someone or something is a priority, it is about time that you show it to them!
  3. If you owe discipline, you should give it. When you’ve skirted your duties as a parent or supervisor, it’s time to plan. Feel free to do so, right?
  4. If you owe an explanation, please don’t hesitate to offer it. Is there someone wondering why you did or did not do something? Is now the right time to explain yourself?

You will find that the more unpaid debts you’re able to settle. The more balance you’ll be able to restore in your life. You ought to have no obligation except for the debt of love for one another!
