When it comes to divorce, God hates divorce but has allowed it due to our hardened hearts. Often, this begins with a spirit of selfishness, anger, unfaithfulness, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, mental illness, and a loss of focus on wanting to please God or even a marriage that was never prepared or built on a solid rock of faith in God. But then we ask, why is divorce so popular? The bottom line is that divorce is devastating for all involved: the couple, children, family, and friends! Everyone except the divorce lawyer. It’s a brutal reality that nobody wants to face, but unfortunately, it happens in around 50% of marriages. My divorce was excruciating for me and my stepson. The aftermath affects everyone involved; families and friends are torn apart while children become the worst victims.
As Margaret Atwood Once Said, “A Divorce Is Like An Amputation: You Survive It, But There’s Less Of You.” Divorce Sucks! But Here’s The Good News – There Is Hope! You’ll Discover Helpful Advice And Guidance For Preventing A Divorce In The First Place ~ Or Working Through One If That Is The Case!
And even though getting through a divorce may seem impossible right now, know that recovery is possible with time and effort. Remember that your story doesn’t end with your divorce; it opens up new opportunities for growth and healing. Keep moving forward – brighter days are ahead! This does not change the fact that God hates divorce and that we all need to keep our marriage vows to the best of our ability. We can not make our partner stay in the marriage, but you can do all you can to make it work. Romans 12:18 sums it up. ~ Bill Greguska
Matthew 19:8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.
