Questions To Consider:

Free Gift Of Salvation!

The Free Gift Of Salvation Will Change Your Life!

God offers the gift of salvation; it is your choice to accept it.

God Is A Gentleman; He Does Not Force Himself On Anyone!

Would you like to know where you are going once you die? If you accept the gift of salvation, you will know for sure. Prayer for salvation is a prayer that turns your life from not having faith in God into a life that has confessed with your mouth and believed in your heart that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior of your life.

You Can Learn About The Assurance Of Salvation And What It Means.

There are two kinds of prayers. One type is to ask God to help you or others. A different kind of prayer is one with an eternal perspective, known as a prayer for salvation. The words do not save you, but Jesus Christ does when you accept Him as your Lord and Savior! Just saying the words in a prayer for salvation is not magical, but it can tell God that you are serious about following him in your life because of your new faith in Jesus Christ.  ~ Bill Greguska

The Acrostic = (P.O.W.E.R.)

After you have received the gift of eternal life and become a new creation, you will want to grow in your knowledge of and obedience to Jesus Christ. Jesus’ teaching about living for God can be summed up in the “POWER acrostic,” which helps you remember the essential elements of spiritual progress.

Pray!

Communication with God through prayer keeps your focus on eternal things. If you truly follow Jesus, your desires will be for God’s glory and His kingdom, the church. Jesus promised, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” John 15:7. The Christian who wants to grow communicates with God through prayer. He expresses his gratitude to Him, confesses his sins, and comes to Him with his requests for himself and others. God promises to be near to all who come to Him in prayer, Psalm 145:18.

Obey!

In John 14, Jesus said obeying His commands indicates our love for Him. We can’t do it in our strength, however. That’s one of the reasons He gave us the Holy Spirit. As we yield to Him, the Spirit provides the power to walk in obedience. Galatians 5:16-25.

Worship!

Meeting regularly with other followers of Jesus Christ allows you to follow His example of love and to fulfill His command to “love one another…just as I have loved you” John 13:34. Just as Jesus surrounded Himself daily with His disciples and followers, find a Bible-believing church where you can meet with other disciples of Jesus. You will find joy, a community of worship, and encouragement in the fellowship of God’s people. A follower of Jesus Christ’s devotion to God is to be continuous. Privately, we should worship God in our thoughts and prayers Ps. 34:1. Publicly, we should unite with fellow believers in a local assembly to praise God Ps. 111:1; Heb. 10:24-25.

Evangelize!

The good news of the gospel is to be shared. As well as telling others what Christ has done for us, we will grow by spiritual leaps and bounds Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15.

Read!

Jesus said, “Whoever has my commandments and keeps them; he is who loves me.” John 14:21. One way to show your love for God is to read the Bible and live your new life based on its teaching. Reach the Bible daily to learn how to live a life that honors God and gives testimony to others that Jesus has made a difference in your life. The most direct source of a Christian’s spiritual growth is the Bible. It must be read regularly (daily if possible) because it is his milk and strong meat 1 Peter 2:2; Heb. 5:12-14. It tells us how to live Ps. 119:105. It is God’s word to us today.
If you have accepted Christ as your Savior, you may wonder, what happens if I sin after being saved? All followers of Jesus sin from time to time. But the good news is that Jesus’ death paid for all your past and future sins. If you humbly admit your sin to God and repent (turn away from sin), the Bible promises God will forgive you and cleanse you from all your sins. Pray for God’s help to keep you from falling into sin again. Jesus assures us that “whoever comes to me I will never cast out” John 6:37. Your salvation is sure because Christ’s sacrifice of Himself on the cross is more significant than any sin.

You Might Also Wonder!

What happens when I don’t feel close to God? Am I still saved? When a person has accepted the gift of salvation. Jesus describes His relationship with them as the relationship between a shepherd and his sheep: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.” John 10:27-28. Salvation is not based on your feelings or works but on the fact that God has welcomed you into His family through repentance and faith in Jesus. Nothing on earth or in heaven can break that bond–nothing.

If you feel far from God, examine your life to see if there is an unconfessed, unrepentant sin between you and God. Continue to read the Bible and pray regularly, filling your mind with God’s truth and goodness. Talk with other disciples of Jesus and learn from their experiences. You will grow closer to God as your knowledge and understanding of Him grow. Rest assured in the promise that no one can separate you from His love. Romans 8:35-39

From now on, seek to live so that in every part of your life, you declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light!

How Do You Know If You Are Saved?

Do You Want To Have Assurance Of Salvation?

One of the essential things in your new life as a Christian is your assurance of salvation. There are far too many people today who lack this assurance. They do not know that they are saved.

You Can Know You Are Saved!

I John 5:13 — “These things have I written unto you that believe in the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life and that ye may believe in the name of the Son of God.”
This verse teaches that you can know you are saved.

How Do You Know You Are Saved?

Assurance of salvation is the essential thing in life (Mark 8:36).
Ensuring salvation is necessary to make you the successful witness God wants you to be.

How Can You Know You Are Saved?

The only sure basis for our assurance is the Bible, God’s Word. God says, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16). Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them. (John 3:36).
We know we are saved because God’s Word says we have everlasting life when we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

How Can Others Tell That You Are Saved?

We are saved by faith, not by works. However, we need to live a good and exemplary Christian life so that others can be attracted to Christ by our testimony. Because others watch our lives to see if there is a change, we must live so they can see Christ in us.
This is a trustworthy saying. I want you to stress these things so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone (Titus 3:8).

Important Things To Remember!

1. There Is A  Plan Of Salvation.

I would like you to understand clearly the plan of salvation. So, we’d like to give it here so that you understand.
a. You are a sinner.
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. –Romans 3:23
b. As a sinner, you are under condemnation.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.–Romans 6:23
c. Christ paid the price for your sins and mine.
Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. –1 Peter 3:18
d. You and I are saved by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ.
God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. –John 3:16

2. God receives those who receive His Son.

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God –John 1:12

3. Your becoming a Christian does not mean you are perfect.

The Bible does not teach that a Christian is perfect. Instead, a Christian is a sinner saved by grace. It is not possible to be perfect in this life. Perfection will come when we are taken out of this life and into the presence of the Lord.
This is important because many new converts get discouraged when they see they are not living as perfectly as they felt. Remember, you are a spiritual baby and need to grow in grace. God will work in you if you will let Him do it.
Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. –Philippians 1:6

4. Your feelings do not save you, and you do not receive assurance from your emotions.

Not once does the Bible say we need any particular feeling to be saved. Of course, there will be a feeling of peace and joy when we know our sins are forgiven, but this feeling comes from our salvation. It does not produce salvation.
Feelings can change, but God’s Word will remain the same. We need to rest entirely on the Word of God as our only assurance. Do not base your assurance on any feelings you might have, and do not doubt your salvation because of a lack of emotion.
