How Can I Eat Healthy Foods?

Take steps to start to eat healthier; I would NOT suggest taking extreme changes all at once; cut back maybe 1/2 as much as you have been eating, as you pray, and ask God to give you the wisdom and strength to practice portion control and to choose foods that will not be detrimental to your health. Most likely, you have acquired some bad habits that need adjustment. I think you should focus on increasing your water intake. Remember, eating healthy is a marathon commitment, not a sprint. ~ Bill Greguska

How Much Water Should I Drink Each Day?

The following is a guide to the amount of water you should drink daily. Increase your fluid intake based on your activity level and hot and humid conditions.

  • If you weigh 140 to 150 pounds, drink 94 to 100 ounces.

  • If you weigh 160 to 180 pounds, drink 107 to 121 ounces.

  • If you weigh 190 to 200 pounds, drink 127 to 134 ounces.

  • If you weigh 210 to 220 pounds, drink 141 to 148 ounces.

  • If you weigh 230 to 240 pounds, drink 154 to 161 ounces.

  • If you weigh 250 to 260 pounds, drink 168 to 175 ounces.

  • If you weigh 270 to 290 pounds, drink 181 to195 ounces.

  • If you weigh 300 pounds, drink 202 ounces.

Plenty of water in your diet supports digestion, skin health, and muscle tone. It can help prevent cramping during exercise and even relieve stress. We are often low on water, dehydrated, and unaware. Being dehydrated can manifest symptoms like fatigue and depression. In fact, by the time we feel thirsty, we’re already slightly dehydrated.

That’s one reason we hear the recommendation to drink eight standard glasses of water daily. Adequate water helps you digest food and eliminate waste. Your kidneys need water to process waste and eliminate it through urination, and drinking enough water helps dilute these wastes. Not getting enough water can encourage the formation of painful kidney stones.

Here’s Modification On The Measurements:

625g flour

410g water

18g salt

1.5g yeast

1 tablespoon oil (Optional)

The reason for these modifications is that they produce more dough, allowing me to make larger pizzas.

Another difference is that before I refrigerate the dough, I shape it into individual balls. I put them in separate containers and refrigerated them for 2 days.

When stretching the dough, let the dough balls rest on the counter for a few hours, so they warm up before stretching. It becomes much easier to pull the dough if it’s at room temperature.

Stretching the dough is another skill that requires practice through trial and error. There are many YouTube tutorials on working with the dough. ~ Pastor Bryan Marvel
