An essential scripture for those with an unclean heart. ~ 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

If you can relate to feeling your heart is dirty and weighed down by sin, you can know that there is hope to have a clean heart once again through confession and repentance to God. It’s kind of like that feeling of stepping out of the shower and putting on fresh clothes – refreshing, renewing, and invigorating. God does that for us when we confess our sins and repent. He forgives us and gives us a pure heart once again. And while God always forgives us, it doesn’t mean we should keep on sinning intentionally.

Has Anyone Ever Asked You Is Your Heart Clean? We Are All Sinners, But Loving God Means Wanting To Avoid Sins Altogether. Yes, We Are Human And Become Tempted And Weak, But We Should Still Strive To Avoid Sin By Resisting The Devil And Clinging On To God’s Love! But When Temptation Creeps In (As It Inevitably Will), We Must Guard Our Hearts With The Armor Of God At All Times So As Not To Give In To Sin. Is Your Heart Clean?

Psalm 51:1-2  Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion, blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

Confession Is Key If You Want A Clean Heart…

Admit your mistakes honestly before God and turn away from anything wicked or sinful that might be holding you back from living your best life possible.
Remember: You are never alone in this journey towards purity; others have struggled just like you do now, but have come out victorious on the other side! If you can relate to the fact that whatever sin you are involved in, such as alcohol or drug abuse, sexual sin, or whatever flavor of sin we sometimes entertain. We can fool others, but we can not fool God. God looks at our hearts and can tell if what we do is from a pure heart or a heart filled with sin.

When difficult times come, they are like hot water; you are like a tea bag. When you are put in hot water (a problem or a stressful difficulty), will the teabag (you) bring out good or lousy tea?

Peace in My Heart

Lord, I am on the right track to find peace when I come to you in prayer, asking for your will, not mine, to be done.  I have tended to overlook prayer in the past. Help me remember that with you, Lord, I can have peace in my heart. I know peace does not happen if we wish for it – it has to come from you.

Help me realize that I cannot have lasting peace without you. Thank you for comforting and watching over me as I plod through life with joys and heartaches.
