There are many things that people feel shameful about. Sometimes people feel shame when they fail, struggle, lie, or steal. Sometimes people do shameful things, and those who deal with their sin and shame can be forgiven, compared to those who do nothing but try to hide their sin and shame. Shame is not always necessarily a bad thing, sometimes it is very appropriate in assisting those of us who sin, to feel the ugliness of shame to get back on track with the Lord, or even one’s heart pricked to get right with God in the first place. Shame can be a great motivation to change one’s behavior and heart.
