Anger can be a powerful emotion that we all experience from time to time. The question is, how to deal with anger? Someone told me once, “I sat with anger long enough until I found out her name was Grief.” This is true in my life; I had some anger problems with my alcohol and drug abuse, yet when I looked closer, they were rooted in hurt, rejection, and ridicule, all hidden in grief. Keep in mind that hurt people, hurt people. Overcoming habitual anger can be a challenge, but it is doable. It’s perfectly normal to feel angry, but how we deal with it makes the difference. Whether you control your emotions or let them run free, it’s essential to recognize the potential damage they can cause to others and to yourself.

Is Your Anger From A Root Of Bitterness?
How Can You Overcome Anger ~ And Not Sin?
People can get under our skin and make us angry (or we let them). It is very reasonable to become irritated or mad at times. The important thing is to confront the question of what to do with our problems.
Being prepared spiritually and physically, and taking care of oneself with regular exercise, healthy food, and enough sleep, will significantly reduce the likelihood of significant outbursts and loss of control. I learned over the years that most of the things I got upset about weren’t that significant in hindsight. I have learned how to deal with my issues before they cause trouble in my life. Remember, either you will deal with your anger, or your anger will deal with you. ~ Bill Greguska
