What Are Some Of The Most Popular Scriptures?

Here Are Some Powerful Scriptures

Genesis 1:1  In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Since we know and believe that God created the heavens and the earth, there ought not to be any question that He will take care of you and your needs. God is all-powerful, and with God, all things are possible.

Do you understand that God is the giver of life and breath, and He will take care of you and your needs? (not necessarily our wants).

Genesis 1:26  Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.

God chose to create us in His image, that gives me a clue to how much he loves you and me. He created us above the animals and below the angels.

You were created in God’s image, doesn’t that fact amaze you sometimes when you think about that fact?

Genesis 1:27   So God created man in his own image, in the image of God, he created him; male and female he created them.

God created us to be male and female. God has given men and women distinct characteristics that make them each unique, and when joined together in marriage, they can reproduce and be more fruitful together as a team unit.

Do you thank God for how He created you and how He has purposed you to be?

What Are Some Verses That Have Changed Your Life?

Joshua 1:8  Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

If you can read the Bible each day, that would be wonderful, meditate on what it says and figure out how to do those things that God’s word teaches.

Do you have trust that God’s word can not only change your life but live it more abundantly?

Joshua 1:9  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged; for the LORD, your God will be with you wherever you go.”

We are reminded and commanded to be strong and courageous in what we do. We are not to be terrified or discouraged because God is in control. There are times when our flesh gets weak; that is when we need to cry out to God to help us make it through.

When was the last time you cried out for the Lord’s help?

Psalm 37:4  Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

If you find that honoring God is a pleasure to you, then more likely or not, he will give you the desires of your heart, which are lined up with His will for you.

Do you enjoy thinking about God, loving others, serving others, reading His word, praying?

Psalm 133:1  How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!

We had peace in the garden until sin entered this world. We will never find total peace and unity in this world, but while we are here, we need to strive to live in unity under God’s will.

Are you living in unity with those in your family and with your friends and others?

Do You Read The Scriptures? Here Are Some Bible Verses To Encourage You!

Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Often in our fast-paced society, we jump from one thing to another without really thinking much or even praying about things.

Can you start to slow down and trust the Lord more each day?

Isaiah 26:3   You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in you.

Find perfect peace in your life as you keep your mind on Christ, not on the worries and problems of this world. Trust that God has things under control.

Do you find it challenging to keep your focus on the Lord?

Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Many people focus on the problems in life, but when you focus on what the Lord says to do, like keeping your hope in the Lord, you will renew your strength.

Have you been feeling weary lately?

Isaiah 41:10  So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

When fear hits you where you are, do not panic, because God will give you the strength that you need to make it through.

Do you believe that God can strengthen you in your life when fear hits you?

Isaiah 53:4   Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.

Knowing that Jesus had taken the wrath of God upon His shoulders is very unusual if you think about it. We are blessed by God to be loved so highly.

Does knowing these actions of Jesus make you want to love the Lord even more now?

What Are Some Bible Verses On Joy?

Isaiah 53:5   But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds, we are healed.

Because Christ took the punishment for our sins, because of what Jesus did, we can find peace, healing, and freedom in Christ, our Savior. God gave His life for us.

Have you given your life wholeheartedly to the Lord yet?

Isaiah 53:6  We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way, and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

When people do their own thing that gratifies the desires of their flesh, it is then that they turn away from the Lord and will not find peace or safety until they turn back to the Lord. God is a God of second chances. He does not turn His back on you, and it is we who turn our back on Him.

Have you turned from God recently?

Isaiah 55:8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.

God is God, and we are not. I see no way that I can understand everything that God wants me to do.

Do you, at times, find yourself thinking or talking as if you were God?

Jeremiah 29:11  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Knowing that God has a plan for our lives will help us to know that our lives have purpose and meaning.

We need to focus on His plan, not on what our fleeting plans are, to prosper the way He has in mind for us each individually.

Do you believe that God loves you enough to have made a plan for your life?

Micah 6:8  He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

People sometimes have their ideas of how to be good, but God makes it clear to us when He says to act justly, love mercy, and to walk humbly with God.

Are you walking with the Lord in this way?

Why Or Why Not, Do You Read The Scriptures? They Can Change Your Life?

Matthew 5:16: In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

When you do good deeds, be sure to give God the glory. Do not try to take the credit, but instead praise God and continue to do good work and shine because of it.

Are there times that you feel like taking credit for something good that God does through you?

Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Sometimes life can weigh down very heavy on our shoulders. But when you go to God in prayer, He can lift your burdens so you can have some rest from whatever that burden is that is pushing you down.

Do you recall a time that you came to God with your burden, and He gave you rest?

Matthew 11:29  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

God commands us to team up with Him instead of carrying all the weight on your shoulders. He assures us that He is gentle, and when you lean on him, you can find rest for your soul. Have you been carrying your burdens on your own too long now?

Are you willing to yoke up with Jesus starting today?

Matthew 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Sometimes we learn the hard way by trying to do things in our power and strength, but when we become wise, we realize that when we come under the umbrella of God’s grace, mercy, and strength, our burdens have been indeed lightened.

Are your burdens light, or are you still carrying them yourself?

Matthew 6:33  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

People I have talked to have many hopes in their lives, but if our primary concern is not seeking the kingdom of God, then they are missing the real purpose and reason for living.

Can you practice keeping things in perspective by keeping Jesus on the throne?

Matthew 22:37   Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

Many people do not consider this command in their lives and then wonder why their lives are not full of peace or contentment.

How can you grow closer to God with this in your mind?

Matthew 28:18  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Jesus has been given all the power and authority that He needs.

Do you believe that you can get power from Jesus?

Matthew 28:19   Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

If a person had the cure for cancer and would not share it with others that would be appalling, the same is true if a person had the cure for sin, but did not share it with others, that too would be appalling.

Are you sometimes afraid to share your faith, fearing ridicule or rejection?

John 1:12  Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

It is not that hard to become a child of God. But you need to believe in God’s name and follow his teaching.

Have you already received God into your life?

John 3:16  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God’s great love for the entire world. He did not only sacrifice His only son so that whoever believed in Jesus would have life everlasting in heaven.

Do you merely know about God, or do you know Him personally as your Lord and Savior?

John 3:17   For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

By no means is God, a taskmaster who enjoys seeing us suffer. Instead, He loves us and came to this world to save us from our sins.

Do you believe that God loves you, or do you think He is out to get you?

John 5:24  “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

When a person puts their trust in God, their life has been saved from condemnation. They then cross over from sin and death, unto life everlasting. If you have taken that step, thank God for the eternal life that He has given you!

If you have not taken that step yet, what is preventing you from doing so?

John 10:10  The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.

Satan is the thief who wants to steal, kill, and destroy all of us. But do not fear, because Christ has come to give us life and victory over death.

Can you understand that the devil is out to destroy you?

John 11:25  Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.

All people are meant to be born once and die once, but a born-again Christian who is born twice will live forever with Christ.

If you have not been born again, is there something holding you back?

John 13:35  By this, all men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.”

God does not ask us to do much, but He wants you to love Him with all your heart, mind, and soul.

Why do you find it hard to love God or love others sometimes?

John 14:6  Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Many people think that Buddhism, Islamism, and all religions have the same god, but that is far from the truth. In Christianity, Jesus says He is the only way to God and heaven. That sure is a big difference from what other religions proclaim.

Do you believe Jesus is the only way to heaven?

John 14:27   Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

When we are walking with the Lord, He tells us that we ought not to be troubled or afraid because He gives differently than the world offers. He will provide you with peace in a way that the world can not provide.

Have you found the peace of God in your life?

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me, you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Trouble will always be present in our lives. But listen to what God says that He has overcome the world and that we have nothing to fear.

God comforts us with words, “But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Do you believe that with your whole heart?

Acts 1:8  But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

The Holy Spirit lives in the hearts of all believers, and once the Holy Spirit is living in you, there will then be a prompting of the Holy Spirit to share the word of God with everyone you meet.

Have you got that prompting to share your faith with others yet?

Acts 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Repenting is turning away from our sins; being baptized is an outward expression of an inward decision to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Have you repented and been baptized yet?

If you have chosen not to repent or are not earnestly seeking God, what is holding you back from doing so?

Acts 4:12  Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

Some people believe that there are many ways to get to heaven. God made that point clear that there is only one way to the Father, which is through His son Jesus Christ.

Do you think it is narrow-minded to believe that there is only one way to heaven?

Romans 3:23  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

We all have sinned and have dishonored God, who is Holy and sinless. No one on earth is without sin. That is why we need a Savior, or we have to pay the penalty of sin ourselves.

Do you believe you need a savior, or are you going to continue to try to be a good person?

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Despite us all being sinners, Christ died for us on the cross to save us from our sins and eternal separation from God.

Do you consider yourself a sinner who is saved by God’s grace?

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

If we are honest about it, we all have lied, stolen something, lusted for something, and these things God calls sin, so we also know that the wages of sin are death.

Do you know for sure that Jesus died for your sins?

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

No matter what you are going through today, you can be sure that if you love the Lord, and are following His teaching, then can you rest assured that God will work things out for you in your life no matter how bleak things may look to you today.

Do you trust that God has plans for your life, and will follow through?

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Things might be falling apart in your life right now, but remember that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Keep trusting in Him and call out to Him for help.

Are you concerned that something has gotten between you and God in your life?

Romans 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Believing in our hearts is a critical thing to do, but confessing with our mouth to others is very important too.

Do you tend to keep your faith to yourself, or do you share it with other people you come in contact with each day?

Romans 10:17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.

If you never heard the word of God, how could you believe it? The word of God is alive and can change a person’s life if they allow it to change them.

Have you been changed by hearing the word of God?

Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.

We are free to live any way we want, but when we live like the world, we will someday reap what the world has modeled for us and with that. The consequences of the sinful life that is around us, namely ultimately death and separation from God.

Do you wholeheartedly believe that you do not have to conform to the patterns of this world any longer?

Romans 15:13   May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

It is not things of this world that fill you with joy, peace, or hope, but it is the power of the Holy Spirit.

Where is your hope coming from?
