The Goal To Strive For Is To Sin No More!
Here is something I would like you to consider. I like what my old pastor friend Mel from Oshkosh, WI once told me, “The Bible will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from the Bible.” That made a whole lot of sense to me, and I still remember it and the impact it had on me 29 years ago. Saying that a person could sin no more is not a true statement because we were created with original sin which began in the Garden of Eden.
Without God’s word as a compass to direct our lives, we are bound to end up with a burden of sin to have to deal with. I thank God that God has taught me how to battle with sin!
It boils down to deciding, what is more, important, either do what you know is wrong or to please God and to do His will! Do whatever it takes to fight sin in your life, and you will be on the right road! It would be nice if we could sin no more, but the only way that could be is if we were made to be like robots without a free will. ~ Bill Greguska
Go And Sin No More!
No one was ever saved because his sins were small; no one was ever rejected on account of the greatness of his sins. Where sin abounded, grace shall much more abound. ~ Archibald Alexander
Ephesians 6:13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Jesus Forgives All of Your Sins When You Accept Jesus as Your Lord And Savior! It is not a license to continue to sin, but rather we ought to try to sin no more!
- Past (Yesterday)
- Present (Today)
- Future (Tomorrow)
People need to acknowledge the past and learn from it but don’t live in it. Remember when Satan throws your past in your face remind him of his future. Philippians 3:12-14. “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” What about past pain and hurts? “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Bring yourself and others to the Lord in prayer.
Remember you are not alone: He is with you. Hebrews 13:5. “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Live life as though we are going to sin no more, but to be sure we ask for forgiveness when we do sin.
In John 14:3 Jesus said, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” There is hope for the future when you are walking with the Lord!

What can I do to become saved?
Repent and believe. Repent means to change direction 180 degrees from the direction you are going and find means to place your trust in and to accept as true or real. Faith and belief have an objective; they’re not an end in all of themselves.
Mark 1:14-15. “After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. ‘The time has come,’ he said. ‘The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!’
Acts 16:31. They replied, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
Romans 10:9-10 “If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
Just because we keep away from sin, that does not mean the temptation to sin will be wiped away as long as Satan has any say in it. He will always try to tempt and deceive us from God’s truth. We need to be prepared with the armor of God on each day! Yes, we are all sinners, but after understanding that fact, what are YOU going to do about it?

I recall when I was in 7th grade and I used to get in trouble in school. I clearly remember telling myself that I would “sin no more” but it always seemed that it was not even lunch time before I was getting into trouble again. ~ Bill Greguska
