On this page, I explain that NeedEncouragement.com is a Christian ministry website founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 2007, under the spiritual guidance of Pastor Ron Sauer and his wife, Sue. Prompted by a few of my own severe life trials—including the death of his best friend, a decade-long battle with drug and alcohol addiction, and a painful divorce—I launched this platform as a way to heal from depression by focusing on helping others. Rooted in the comfort message of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, the site offers over 550 pages of faith-based content across 17 topics, ranging from addiction recovery and marriage advice to emotional support for depression and anxiety, as well as immediate assistance via phone helplines.

God Made Something Good Out Of Something Bad!
- Pastor Ron and Sue Sauer encouraged me to encourage others by sharing the Word of God! What inspired The Encouragement Ministry to begin was that I went through a divorce I did not want. Ron and Sue saw how depressed I was, and they knew that if I were to encourage others, my sadness and depression would be resolved much sooner. The ministry started at my home in 2005 with a 24-hour phone helpline. After two years, I started the website NeedEncouragement.com. The scripture below is from Ron and Sue Sauer.
