Sin and Satan, are two formidable adversaries in our journey through life. It is important to acknowledge the origins of this force that seeks to disrupt our path toward righteousness. Once an angel of God’s heavenly realm, Satan succumbed to pride and dared to challenge the Almighty himself. As a consequence, he was cast out from heaven along with his legion of fallen angels, now known as demons. Despite his rebellion, it is crucial to remember that Satan does not possess more power than our all-knowing Creator God. However, he has devised a cunning plan to exact revenge upon God by spreading sin and pain throughout the earth.

Infiltrating every corner of existence, Satan quietly maneuvers his way into our lives. His aim is simple but deeply sinister – to deceive us into forsaking the righteous path laid before us by God Himself. His tricks are sly and elusive; they often go unnoticed by those who fail to comprehend his true nature. Unaware of his subtle manipulations, we may fall prey to temptation or become ensnared in the clutches of despair. Yet fear not! For in His infinite wisdom and boundless love for us mere mortals, God has provided a means for protection against these dark forces at work in our world. He urges us diligently through scripture – Ephesians 6:10-18 -to equip ourselves fully with His armor; an impenetrable shield against the wiles of both sin and Satan. I remember something Bill Graham said about there is pleasure in sin, yet it only lasts for a short season but leads to death. That right there inspires us to fight and run from all the sins that Satan tries to tempt us with. ~ Bill Greguska
