Strong Faith Blog!
Luke 7:50 Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
I believe that most people would say that they have strong faith. The question that needs to be examined is what their strong faith is in? For example, if I had great faith that my car was going to be able to take me on a 2,000-mile drive across the united states just by having a strong conviction, but without considering the fact about the car, that would be foolish of me.
The same thing true with having a strong belief in God without knowing who God is in the first place. I am not referring to just what you might have heard about God. I mean, how you have experienced God in your life! Just like the example of the car, without digging deeper into things such as the age of the car, the mileage, the history of the car, etc.
If your faith is in God, that is great, but are you referring to the God of the Bible Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. In our society, there are many gods (small g) that people bow down to, such as people, and things like television, computers, cars, celebrities, family and friends, money, etc. I hope you take an inventory of who or what is your god (small g) in your life. God is a jealous God that does not want his worship to be shared with anyone else. It says in Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
I hope that you take what I have written seriously. I am not saying that we can not like or love anyone or anything else but God, although I am saying that you need to examine your steadfast faith and determine what you are putting it into?
