To the skeptics out there, let me shed some light on George Washington’s wise words and the historical evidence that reinforces the Christian faith. I appreciate what George Washington said, “Let us, with caution, indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Reason and experience forbid us to expect national morality to prevail without religious principles.” In his statement, he cautions us to be careful when entertaining the idea that morality can exist without religion. Both reason and experience strongly discourage such a notion, as they demonstrate that national morality cannot thrive without religious principles. And if you’re seeking thorough information to support this claim, look no further than the Bible itself – it is an unparalleled source of historical knowledge.

But let’s briefly step away from written accounts for a moment and turn our gaze towards nature. When I contemplate the intricate beauty of our world, I find it difficult to fathom how anyone could deny the hand of a creator in its making. The notion that everything came into existence through something as vague as a “Big Bang Theory” seems far-fetched when confronted with mesmerizing natural phenomena like blooming flowers or rolling thunderstorms.

Consider this analogy: imagine someone presenting you with a meticulously crafted wristwatch and claiming it spontaneously assembled itself over time. It would be hard not to dismiss such an assertion outright because we instinctively understand that intricate creations require an intentional creator – just like our Earth and universe do. So, dear skeptics, I encourage you to explore these perspectives with an open mind. Consider rational thought and evidence while delving deeper into history through invaluable sources like the Bible. Only then can true understanding blossom within your hearts regarding George Washington’s profound words.  ~ Bill Greguska

James 1:6  But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

I want to ask a question: are you a religious skeptic? What I mean by that is that a person’s religious upbringing can be entirely different from one person to another.

You may have had biased teachings from non-believers while growing up, or a bad experience with your parents forcing you to go to church, and you did not want any part of religion.

Of course, some of these things could put a wedge between you and God.

Another reason for possibly being a religious skeptic is what you read about and watch on TV, all the bad news with Catholic priests, TV evangelical pastors, etc. That has brought a bad name and a false representation of the church.

Keep in mind that with men and women that I mentioned above, we are all sinful creatures, but with God, He is perfect and Holy and worthy of our praise. That is why we worship and praise God, not evil men and women who can let us down.
