What Is The Nicene Creed?Nicene Creed, and what it means? NeedEncouragement.com

Please contact us if you have questions or if you need some encouragement.

The Nicene Creed is not just a mere collection of words, but rather a powerful tool to articulate and make clear the profound Christian faith in Jesus Christ. It serves as an anchor amidst the storms of doubt and confusion that we often face. In this tumultuous world, it is crucial to have unwavering confidence in what we believe. There is an old saying that resonates deeply with me – “If you do not believe in something, you will fall for anything!” So today, let us take a moment to reflect on our beliefs and eliminate any lingering confusion that plagues our minds daily.

To find clarity, there is no better source than the sacred scriptures themselves. The Bible stands as an unshakable foundation upon which we can build our convictions. When we place human wisdom above Godly instruction, trouble inevitably ensues along our journey of faith. Therefore, I beg you to put your trust solely in God’s word and let it guide your steps. Within each one of us lies a unique purpose waiting to be discovered – a plan intricately woven by the hands of God himself. We need to seek out this purpose diligently and fulfill it wholeheartedly to the best of our abilities. For I firmly believe that God has carved out individual paths for both my life and yours; all that remains now is for us to uncover these plans through prayerful introspection and dedicated pursuit. ~ Bill Greguska

Romans 10:9  If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

It Does Matter What We Believe!

The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God, the Father almighty, the maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, begotten from the Father before all ages, God from God,

Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made; of the same essence as the Father.

Through him, all things were made. For us and our salvation, he came down from heaven;

he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and was made human.

He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried.

 On the third day, he rose again, according to the Scriptures.

He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead.

 His kingdom will never end.

And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life.

He proceeds from the Father and the Son, and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified.

He spoke through the prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church.

We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

We look forward to the resurrection of the dead and living in the world. Amen.

Do You Know What The Nicene Creed Is?

Apostles’ Creed:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead.
On the third day, he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.

What Do You Believe vs. How Do You Live?

A sandwich tastes good and is packed with vitamins for our bodies to grow.  God’s Word is like a sandwich.
1) You can take a bite, chew it, spit it out, and say, “That tasted great.”  This might be like reading your Bible daily and not applying what you read.  Tastes excellent but has little or no growth.
2) You could take a bite, chew it, swallow it, and allow your body to digest it.  You might say, “Not only taste great; my body is growing!”  This is like studying God’s Word and applying it daily in your life.  God gave us food for physical growth, and His Word was used for spiritual growth. ~ Mike Hayden
